You know at first I was trying to be understanding that the kid was dealing with pressure issues from his parents, who were upset with how he was being handled by the staff. But alas I am on the belief that he is a self absorbed child who's feelings got hurt as his performance and lack of playing time decreased as the season progressed. Add to that his issues with teammates and it made since to leave...

However man up tell the truth and move on.
This is definitely part of it though.

You could probably splice together practice clips for any player on the team that would make them look like an All-American. There's no context. For all we know those highlights were from a 7 am practice where half the team spent the previous night acting like a bunch of college kids...

I hope the young man finds whatever he is looking for, but I don't understand the mid-season transfer of a healthy player who has already burned a year of eligibility. He must have been having a really bad time, because there is no way whatever he is doing now is developing his game more effectively than coming off the bench for the Illini would have.
Obviously, he could have used some more quality game film.
Frankly, the release of this doesn't tell me that he's transferring. He might be, I suppose, but I don't read that into this. And until he does say that that's he's transferring, I consider him one of our guys. And as long as Brad says he supports him, I will too.

I was there! Only better sporting event I've seen live was the Cubs clinching game 6 of the NLCS. This game was incredible.
Wow… being there that that UI victory over IU and also for a once in a hundred years or so when the Cubs actually mattered come October. Amazing.

Can Goode not play this year and still be redshirted if he plays below a certain number of games? I thought that was the case and he has yet to play even one game.
if Goode is any good , he’s not sticking around for year 5 if he does redshirt

What defense adjustments did the staff make on Perkins / Iowa? The concerning part from my perspective - besides having different guys guard him - didn’t see much change!

Reminders of recent games/performances:
Loyola, TJD, Pickett, Jacquez (ucla first half) brown (miznoz), etc.

Bumped into CoHawk on campus today!
He is super nice. I asked whether he plan to go to NBA this year and he said he is not sure and will see if there are opportunities. Going to cheer for him tomorrow at State Farm!

Two guys living their best lives on campus. Great pic.

Wish I had one to share from meeting Bruce Douglas outside the Union that one time.

Sunday morning reflection of this years team. IMO, root cause of slow starts.

They are hard to watch, nothing breaks their spirit like jacking up dumb 3's. They have 3-4 guys start that have a shooters mentality, that the next ones going in. When someone misses the shot, the other 2-3 lose their mind (shooters mentality). Also why, it is so refreshing to see Harris & Rodgers check in the game.

A shooters mentality is not always a bad thing, but maybe just maybe if they could acknowledge this. Then we could minimize the slow starts and scoring lulls.
