Sorry when I hit reply my S22 goes crazy. I actually watched
the 1st half of Iowa game, had to turn it off. I did nnothave 90 minutes to watch 20 minutes of fouls called. I was confused Why Epps did not enter 1st half until almost 10 minutes gone. Especially with us throwing ball all ove r Dumpster Carver arena.

He doesn't get the steals or disruptive plays but he is positionally sound, is good at staying in front of his man, and uses his body well to not get bullied.

He gives us plenty of praise here and there so I have no ill will toward him.
I would not have expected this and I'm also a little surprised since Epps and Harris don't usually play together and this would suggest not as great metrics for Harris.
Epps is a solid defender but has been even more solid in protecting the ball. Turnovers lead to quick and easy points. When Epps is leading the offense, we aren't giving up many of those easy baskets. I don't know to what degree that contributes to this stat, but it's definitely part of it.
Epps's defense has been the most impressive thing for me. I think most people knew he was an elite scorer but I wasn't expecting him to be so solid on D. Aside from fouling (which he's gotten better at) he never hurts us on defense. Like, I never see him out of position, or gambling for a steal that hurts his team, or losing his man off the ball. And he doesn't give up much ground on the ball either.
I really think that if Epps would have been handed the keys in the same way that freshman Trent or freshman Ayo were, he would be challenging Sensabaugh for Freshman of the Year. He's just not being asked to shoulder that kind of load this year.

He’s might be in a funk, but you can probably take 2 of the top scoring games out for each of the players and the list would probably be similar.
Also, it’s a good thing when your stars show up in big games.
Also he only scored 16 vs Texas with 12 in OT. He was basically a no show until the end.
But what a show at the end.
I was there! Only better sporting event I've seen live was the Cubs clinching game 6 of the NLCS. This game was incredible.
