4 transfers in next year. and yes, they already know a couple of names
You know know if any of them have put up much numbers this year?or the staff going to expect a jump in there production like we've seen from Dain this year as compared to his time at Baylor?

Good news is we will return a lot of experience and talent next year. Epps, Ty, Dain, Sincere, and Goode are a great baseline. Think Moretti will be a good player too
Lol my bad didn't see you put ty down at first got nervous fr😅😅

Is asking for a 4 man like what UNC got in Brady Manek last year asking for too much?

I wouldn't mind if Yuri Collins decided to actually transfer this year. Leading the NCAA for the 2nd year in a row in assists, just under 10 apg this season. Strong defender and shooting a respectable 36% from 3 and 76% FT.

Blake Hinson is a name from our past having a strong season at Pitt. I never understood why we seemingly backed off of him when it looked like we had a strong chance at landing him. Especially when we ended up taking guys like Samba Kane and Anthony Higgs. At the time, Giorgi was a head scratcher too. Hinson was pretty good right out of the gates as a Fr on a bad Ole Miss team too. He's getting 16 and 6 this year on a solid Pitt team and shooting 38% from 3.

Johnell Davis is from Gary, IN and having a strong season for a ranked FAU team, only a Soph eligibitywise. Leading scorer for FAU but doesn't start. Shooting 39% from 3. 6'4", good athlete.

Of course, the transfer portal in February is fun to speculate but no clue if any of these guys will be actual options. Collins seems about perfect, but St Louis is his hometown and they drew him back last year after all signs pointed to him leaving.

respect my decision™
Jackstys: kid is a skilled 6' 10". gotta keep an iron in the fire. AAU should provide answers. how many thought Happ or Kaminski would turn out as they did?

Not sure exactly where to put this. I’m really happy with the level of recruiting, but I hope we don’t forget to bring in an occasional player like Barnhizer for Northwestern. I continue to be impressed with what he brings. Good size at 6’6, can handle it a bit, can shoot it a bit. Seems to have high basketball IQ and is usually in the right spot defensively. Is a star in his role IMO.

Glaring needs right now are shooting and we are definitely bringing in studs but guys like that can be had and you need 1-2 on your team to win IMO. Just hope we don’t forget about them.

You're basically describing Luke Goode. Pretty sure they'll keep recruiting those guys.

another example of a player having a coach as his dad really helps with BB IQ.......

I hope Fr RJ is back next year, Soph RJ ehhh.....
Freshman RJ took 1 3-point shot for every 12.4 minutes of playing time (at a 60%! success rate). Sophomore RJ takes one every 6 minutes at a 24.7% clip. It's not hard to figure out how he should adjust.

Need to practice my counting skills. BU obviously is a good counter

TSJ and Mayer are gone we have 2 recruits coming in

Lost Zach and Skyy

Most likely Hawkins is gone even if he is a second round draft pick?

That means at least one other player will need to leave if my math is right. I hope players who may consider leaving have things click and make this year’s team better and decide to stay

We have 1 open now; TSJ and Mayer leave, CH likely gone: scholarship obligation to Lieb is fulfilled; Skyy and Perrin are gone. That is 7 available places assuming everyone else stays. We have 2 recruits, so space for 5 new guys unless CH and/or Lieb decide to stay another year or the coach decides to leave a space open.

Id be shocked if we ever have all scholarships used come the first game of a season. BU has explicitly stated he likes keeping one open.

On another note, I know the game has changed, but it’s gotta be dang exhausting to basically recruit half your roster year in and year out. And probably close to impossible to have the kind of roster you actually want as a coach.

Why do you think so many hof coaches called it a career lately?

'cause they're old (and rich)?

There is no chance in hell I'd work into my 70s like so many of these coaches. These guys have more money than they could possibly spend. Why in the world would I want to put in the crazy hours during the season and in the offseason chase around teenage boys and kiss their !!!, when I could be on the beach relaxing with my cash chasing around teenage girls.

I kid I kid!

Jay Wright agrees...well, except for the last part.
