msu was up by 11 with 1:06 to go and lost in overtime by 5.....you can't make this stuff up........I thought the franny-kelly staredown was wacky , but it takes second place to the comeback by the idiots..........

I guess this outcome helps us as i was worried about msu not having to play a makeup game against the goofers.....
Shades of the fiasco regarding scUM getting that title by not playing a full schedule a few years back.......that result still burns my gonads at ole kev handing mr. coward that tainted crown ............
That was the point I got out of the car and then I saw the final on XM. I thought that had to just be a misprint because there is no way Iowa could have scored that many points.

Our comeback Thursday night. Iowa's final 90-second, 13-pt blitz to push OT and then win less than 48 hrs later. Then less than a couple hours on from that, this.

Is there any other game on earth this inspiring and entertaining on a regular basis? 🏀 🇺🇸

If Nebraska wins out how close to the bubble are they?

After today has Sparty at home and then at Iowa. Tough but not impossible the way they are playing. Tominaga could go for 40 against Iowa’s defense.

Question for the group ... if you were an Iowa fan, what would you expect of the program and what would your current views on Fran be? On one hand, Iowa has a decent history, and Fran is in his THIRTEENTH season with the following results:

Record: 259-173 (.600)
B1G Record: 124-117 (.515)
NCAAT Appearances: 6 (46% of seasons)
Best NCAAT Finish: Second Round (3 times)
AP Top 25 Finishes: 4 (31% of seasons)
B1G Championships: 0
BTT Championships: 1
B1G Winning Seasons: 10
B1G Losing Seasons: 4
Intangibles: He's a bit of a psycho, and TRUST ME that his wife is 110% worse.

On the other hand, you can't judge their performance like we do ours. The facilities are meh, the history is good-not-great, the instate recruiting is comparatively awful and the fan support is in the B range.

I think if I were an Iowa fan, I would probably be on the "three more years" train with Fran. As we know with Illini football, EVENTUALLY you have to try to do better.
I’m going to have to insist you share more about Mrs. Fran

I didn't get the memo on what the Nebraska uniforms are supposed to represent.

Updated Big Ten standings:

1. Purdue: 13-4
2. Northwestern: 11-6
3. Illinois: 10-7
3. Indiana: 10-7
3. Maryland: 10-7
3. Michigan: 10-7
4. Iowa: 10-8
5. Michigan State: 9-8
5. Rutgers: 9-8
6. Penn State: 8-9
6. Wisconsin: 8-9
7. Nebraska: 7-10
8. Ohio State: 3-14
9. Minnesota: 1-15

If we assume (as I do, relatively confidently) that Nebraska beats Minnesota at home and Purdue beats Indiana at home, these will be the standings when we square off in Columbus tomorrow:

1. Purdue: 14-4
2. Northwestern: 11-6
3. Illinois: 10-7
3. Maryland: 10-7
3. Michigan: 10-7
4. Indiana: 10-8
4. Iowa: 10-8
5. Michigan State: 9-8
5. Rutgers: 9-8
6. Penn State: 8-9
6. Wisconsin: 8-9
7. Nebraska: 8-10
8. Ohio State: 3-14
9. Minnesota: 1-16

Then we also have this action tomorrow:

#21 Northwestern (11-6) at Maryland (10-7
Wisconsin (8-9) at Michigan (10-7)
Rutgers (9-8) at Penn state (8-9)

Not sure whom to root for in the NU/UMD game or the RU/PSU game, but I VERY much want Wisconsin to win in Ann Arbor!
Iowa is 7th, not 4th, and so on

was wondering why NET loves B12 so much that they dominate NET30. most of their Q1 wins are in conference. Non-con they are 28-22 in Q1-2, good but not heads and shoulders over everyone else (BTN, SEC, Big East). take out KU and Baylor and B12 is 18-19 vs. Q1-2. eg Iowa State and Kansas St are 17-18 NET but not impressed with their non-con resume.

Was thinking same thing. I think for any chance they have to win last 2 regular season games and probably 2 BTT games. I put their resume up against Wisky and scUM. Nebraska doesn’t have a bad loss and beat Creighton on the road

Nebraska is now 15-14 but still in 12th place in the Big Ten. So they are not very close to the bubble right now. Their biggest problem has been teams like Michigan and Penn State getting back onto the bubble ahead of them.

If Nebraska wins their last two and gets to 17-14 and wins 2-3 games in the Big Ten tourney AND Penn State and Michigan drop a couple games in the last week then it could get interesting. A 15 loss Huskers team is not getting in so really can't afford another loss unless they get to the Big Ten Tourney Championship and upset an Indiana or Purdue along the way.
