I wonder if he fainted/passed out and they kept him overnight to do tests. Hope it’s not a serious underlying issue.

Yea..that's what I suspect and that is not good. Doubt he plays tomorrow and on Sunday.

As someone who faints at needles (thanks, Dad, as every doctor I've ever seen says this is extraordinarily hereditary), I honestly hope it's that. "Passing out" in the usual sense completely zaps you for that day, but you're completely 110% fine the next day as long as there are not any more serious underlying causes behind the fainting.
If Jaden was dehydrated or just a little "off" and passed out, they could have just taken the extra precaution of getting him to the hospital and exhausting all options as far as making sure it wasn't brought on by anything more serious (for example, after one time when I fainted as a kid my parents had me go get tested for Epilepsy). If they determine it's not, he would presumably just rest up today, drink a lot of water, get some good sleep tonight and perhaps come off the bench tomorrow. Fingers crossed, and I'll be thinking of the kid.

Really hoping he was just dehydrated or lightheaded or something. My first thought was that it could be a previously-unknown cardiac issue like you sometimes see with athletes who pass out, but I imagine he's gone through all kinds of testing and we'll have more news soon. Parents coming into town is not surprising but doesn't mean it will ultimately be something serious.
Yea hoping Jaden is being held just as a precautionary measure...but does seem a little strange his family came to town especially if he's being released today...unless they were coming for Thursdays last home game and decided to come early since he was admitted to the hospital...prayers for JE and family

Meh, it could literally be as simple as Jaden texting Brad with an update at 10:00 am that he would be discharged at some point today and then getting out a bit early and seeing Shannon before he thought to text Brad.

Yeah, not suggesting there’s something sinister going on here. Just find it odd that the coaching staff would be at all behind/out of the loop with something as serious as a hospitalization.

Maybe I missed it... did someone say what actually happened? Passed out, or had a collision with another player, or hit his head, etc.? "Went down" in practice isn't saying much.
You can't really read into his parents coming down. If I spent the night in the hospital as a college kid (regardless of how serious the doctors said it was) there is a 99.9% chance my mom would have shown up.
