I would've rather Skyy worked out whatever he needed to work out and return to the team, but at no point in the past two months did I even consider that to be a realistic possibility. I'm glad the band-aid has been ripped off so we can't stop talking about it.

Announcing you are transferring on selection Sunday is a bit of the final straw for me with this prima donna. I hope he transfers 4 more times and never finds a fit.
He's a 19 year old kid. Hoping that he fails in his future endeavors because he interrupted Selection Sunday is a bit of an overreaction.

To me, it depends on his reasoning. Adam Miller, Curbelo, Podz, and all the others I wish good fortune. They left in the right way and aren't trying to do damage to Illinois. If you believe he announced today to maximize his opportunity for spotlight, that's one thing. I believe he announced today to bring added negativity to Illinois.

We had what looked like serval questionable losses with him, too, and he was out when we made that comeback against UCLA.

I wish him the best, but I'm not sad he's gone

Same, but that doesn't change what happened the rest of the season :)

Good catch on him announcing it today..
Craves attention over team loyalty.....how many previous schools , plus de-comitt from UK......
Buh Bye........
Right, and how many more times will he transfer before he’s done? The skyy’s the limit I guess.

Is Skyy going to be academically eligible? If he didn’t finish the semester at Illinois then he should not be able to play until he earns the credit hours to qualify as a sophomore. He could be enrolled online and be in good academic standing but I don’t know.

Also the NCAA needs to regulate the ability of the player/coaches from discussing transferring to another school before they enter the transfer portal. I don’t know if that applies in this case but in a lot of transfers the decision is made before they transfer

It’s Louisville. I’m sure he’ll be eligible lol.

It doesn't, but it's also clear his lack of defense and mediocre offensive performance wasn't going to make a difference either.

Perhaps if he'd used the resources on campus instead of going home, but he made the choice he thought was right for him. It is what it is
