If Indinia loses we will have beat every team in sweet 16 we played during the regular season. Only Arkansas in the tournament would we have lost to. If we only could have done it one more time.

We were a very different team between the start of the year and the end of the year. Unfortunately we were much worse at the end of the year lol.

IMO it's the B1G's rough-and-tough style of play that's holding its teams back in the tourney. Lots of post play, not a lot of shooting, and of course, what is considered a foul in the B1G is different from the rest of D-1.

I think it’s more big10 doesn’t have as much size/strength at the guard position compared to other elite power conferences.

Alright, next year the B1G gets to enter the All-B1G teams to even the playing field.

There’s not enough athletes in the Big 10. They don’t have speed.

The same problems the Big 10 has in football matching up with the SEC is manifesting itself in basketball too

LOL, like the Big 12 and ACC?
If TCU result holds, I count 3 in the Big12 (Texas, Kansas St, TCU). ACC was not good this year but their track record recently is better than ours at the top (Duke/UNC just were both in the FF last year.) Feel like we’re solidly behind Big12, Big East, SEC, and on par with ACC as a whole though they are more top heavy, whereas we are pretty mediocre throughout.

That's a big if on TCU. And so far, Texas and KSU have played to seed. Good on them, bit it's not like the Big 12 is killing it. The SEC and Big East, sure.

The big issue with the Big Ten is the fact it's an overrated conference. It's still nearly on par with most other major conferences (except national titles), but if it wants to compete for Final 4s and titles, then yeah, time to adjust recruiting and how their games are reffed.

This is why we would see a real national champion if we did a playoff in college basketball. Top 8 or 16 teams in a SERIES style playoff would give us a true champion. 1 and your done is no way to see who is really the best. Id like to see a 5, 5, 7 game series format. Tournament makes for some exciting games but we hardly ever see the best team in the country win it all.

What exactly has to change for the Big Ten? You can't just waive a wand and change things. Should schools fire successful coaches and bring in someone new because they want to change? The Big Ten has had a ton of success year in and year out during the season. Winning in a one and done tournament is hard, for everyone.

I personally think this was a rather down year for the Big Ten. We weren't even close to as good as we've been for the last 2 seasons. Purdue ran away with things and that was not a great team. The conference had some great individual talents, but pretty much every team had holes. Had Purdue taken care of business and the Big Ten had 2 teams in the Sweet 16, we'd be right there with anyone else.

The Big 12 was dubbed the best team throughout the season. They've got 2 teams in right now and TCU gives them a chance at 3. I just don't think the tournament says a heck of a lot about how good your conference is.
