OverthinkingI’m conflicted. With Illinois’ inability to get out of the first weekend with above average talent, excluding the fluke teams; why do teams with equal or lesser talent regularly make it? I’m overrating our players? Underrating other teams players? Inferior coaching for Illinois? Over thinking?

Looking forward to their sweet 16 game, MSU or Marquette, love their energy and poise, plus a talented, natural point guard.Free throws win games. Love how composed Kansas State was down the stretch. Had the right people with the ball.
Same with San Diego State guard Darrion Trammell listed as 5’10” and he’s more like 5’8” too.I haven’t watched a ton of KSU this year, but how does a 5-8 point guard not get abused in defense like our smaller guards do?
CBS wants no competition for their afternoon games is why.I'll never understand why they don't have more games earlier
My theory at this point is that a good point guard is the best player to have on a team by far in college, even more than future pro type wings. The point guards are usually way more skilled at this age and the highly rated wings tend to be raw and don’t really develop those ball skills completely until they’ve actually become pros.Watching a true point guard like Nowell work is a thing of art.
Just thinking that - have seen 2 other instances where they did not regardless of whether player was on O or DInteresting to see the officials stop play with the lost shoe there in the MSU-Marquette game.
he's the player that mugged either Trent or Curbelo at the halfcourt line and no fould called last time we played them......Marquette player (Kolek, I think) has a bit of a George McFly look
