You are correct, I believe. Should not have depended on my memory. I am getting older. I think Joe Allen was on the team that beat Bridgeport in the state chanpionship game in the earlier 60's.
Just checked the IHSA website. Chicago Marshall defeated Bridgeport in the 1960 state championship game. It would make sense that George Wilson was on the Marshall team that year.

He’s got 7 more s16 than Brad though
No doubt he has a better tournament record. He has also been at the helm of P5 schools much longer. Would you agree he should have at least 1 final 4, or NC with the talent his teams have had in Arizona? Big daddy Brad will get it done at Illinois.

Nuke , I was born in 1951 and one day down in the basement my dad was canning some pickles and making his homemade wine and he hollered out " Hey lil pru , come here "......so i obeyed like the good lil boy I was ......He had the cardinals on the radio and it was harry & Jack on the call,,,,that's the day he said " son , you can be anything you want to be in life except for one thing "....
I said "" ok , daddy , but what is it i can't be ? "".................He said " you can't ever be a cubs fan ""........I said " ok dad " and I have remained faithful to that promise and I will continue that until I reach that Field of Dreams in the celestial playground.............
Speaking of nukes. Do you remember anyone in your neighborhood building bomb shelters in the 1950's or early 60's? We did not have one, but a family up the street had one.

Most of this thread is a good discussion. Your post is pure ignorance. If you don't know why, look up Miller's post-season record. I'm done responding to you
Not sure why hostile? No doubt he has a better tournament record. He has also been at the helm of P5 schools much longer (13 years to 6 years). Would you agree he should have at least 1 final 4, or NC with the talent his teams have had in Arizona?

Not hostile at all. Look at the definition of ignorance to understand what I'm saying. Then look at this coaching record:

That's outstanding coaching. 8 conference titles in 18 seasons (nearly half of his career is winning conference titles). Okay, now I'm done.

If Illinois hires Sean Miller, we’re all expecting him to not be here to long right? I feel like he’ll be here for 5-6 years max. That’s just my opinion though.

(a) I doubt Illinois ever lands Sean Miller, but...

(2) What makes you think that? He's been a loyal coach so far in his career.

I am a Brad Underwood fan, I like the guy. I’ve also been a very vocal proponent in here of hiring Sean Miller and that hasn’t changed with tonight’s Xavier poor performance. Sean, with the same tools Brad has at his disposal right now to me just screams better results. I’m just ready for more man, whether it’s Brad or Sean. I’m just convinced Sean would be better suited for it.

I would say Illinois is NOT his dream job long term.

I'm ready for more as well, just don't think Miller here for a few years and starting over next year is the path. Brad can get it done here.
