I was watching the Cubs/Cardinals play in STL probably back in the ‘80s. Harry and Steve Stone were doing the broadcast on WGN. A couple of blue-haired old ladies hold up a sign that says “We Love You Harry!” Stone says “Look Harry. It’s a couple of your old girlfriends.” Harry responds “It seems like everyone in this town was.” Classic! I am a Cardinal fan from the womb but I sure miss watching and listening to those two on WGN.
You must be too young, then, to remember Harry and Jack Buck doing the Cardinals games on the radio in the 60s.

In fairness, we made this same argument about Groce. Also in fairness, Underwood has been orders of magnitude more successful than Groce so my first statement isn't very fair.
In unfairness, Groce got zero PGs (5-0) to come here so it's a little hard to apply orders of magnitude to that.
Flamed out with Skyy, but I don't expect BU to make that mistake twice.

I believe Joe Allen went to Bradley. If I'm wrong , I apologize in advance. George Wilson from Chicago Marshall went to Cincinnati where he won a National Championship.
You are correct, I believe. Should not have depended on my memory. I am getting older. I think Joe Allen was on the team that beat Bridgeport in the state chanpionship game in the earlier 60's.

Is it fairly standard for a coach to turn to coaches/players on the bench and go at them immediately after a bad play on court? Just something I’ve noticed Brad do, that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen another coach do, at least not consistently. Comes across on tv like hes saying “this is all your fault, I f$@&ing told you!” I could be way off, I’m never there in person.
"I don't pay attention to other coaches, but I have a problem with they way our coach acts"

This message board in a nutshell.

I know we’re rooting for Xavier over Texas so the dominos can start to fall, but I will say that Terry’s eyewear game is 💯

Born in 1961. So yeah really don't remember them together. I was a watching the Cards/Cubs on WGN in 1985. Wille McGee makes a good play in CF. Harry says something like "that McGee is one heck of Centerfielder. Not as good as our Bobby Denier but pretty good." McGee goes on to win the Gold Glove, Batting Title and MVP that season. But not quite as good as Denier LOL. Harry.

If Miller does come to Illinois, what’s that contract looking like? Over/under 6m a year?

Why are we so sure Miller wants UI gig. From Pennsylvania, played at Pitt, grad asst for 1 year at UW, other than that no connection to BIG. No connection to UI at all, that I know of. Majority of coaching career spent at AZ, and Xavier pre and post AZ. Don't get the for sure done deal confidence he is a lock. What is Self pulls the plug and KU opens up? I am not saying people are wrong, just some awfully high confidence being tossed out with bizarrely strange timing for talk of coaching changes, considering he is playing Texas in the Dance tonight.
I think you might be right…that could be a huge potential monkeywrench.
