Taking what you said into account you should also realize that he was the main focus of every team they played. Their number one goal was to stop him, drawing their best defenders and sometimes double teamed. He still put up good numbers. He is a very good pickup for the Illini.

Portsmouth Invitational Tournament?
I found myself rather frequently thinking, I wish we had an athletic 7 footer, while watching the tournament.
Phillips stats were pretty bad, but he is an athletic 7 footer. If he provides nothing more than defense, rebounding, and a couple of putbacks per game, thats still quite valuable.

Domask is a very good pickup for us. He is consistent and solid all around with good basketball IQ. Something we were really missing this past year. He will be able to give us good minutes off the bench or step in as a starter if Brad is not getting what he wants from them. He was chosen first team in the MVC for a reason. Welcome to the Illini!

It's either barbecue or The Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. Both of which are better served with sauce.
I like RJ but I think it is certainly an upgrade. Domask led SIU in Pts. Reb, and assist while being 1st team all conference. I think sometimes just because you may be higher rated out of high school or from a power 5 that means they are better. It may usually but not if the guys all conference.
