Not many top guys left. Better be calling Abmas and Knecht.
Or ... ya know ... they could continue recruiting the 1,300+ players already in the portal, as well as patiently wait for the players that'll pull out of the NBA Draft or have yet to enter the portal.

Let me preface this by saying there's still plenty of time, and as multiple insiders have alluded to, presumably any number of upper end guys that still haven't entered the portal. That said..
Of the top 50 that *have*, six of those have joined the B1G, more than any other conference.
Given that fairly exorbitant take, how about the give, you ask?
One, in fact. One guy in the portal's top 50 has departed the Big Ten and announced a landing spot elsewhere. His name is Jayden Epps.

I'm not officially worried, but it is concerning that we've lost the most via the portal or draft possibilities in the conference, but haven't brought anyone in. Our insiders are adamant that there's no need to worry, so I'll go with that....

Out of those 1,300+, what are the caliber that could contribute to our team next year? I'm guessing maybe 50-75. I think peoples biggest concerns is that we could be waiting on a big name, and miss, and we desperately need impact players especially if TSJ/CH leave.
How many players pull out of the NBA draft and don't return to their original team?
My guess is 2.
Matthew Mayer, for one. And I don't think this staff is sitting around and waiting for a big fish to be available. They're probably being more selective after last season's chemistry issues. Domask is a good example of that. There are still a bunch of options available, and the portal game is still quite early. PATIENCE!!!

I find it interesting that RJ is not ranked in the top 208.
How excited would you be if we announced an incoming junior transfer who shot 37%/26%, who had more turnovers than assists?
