I guess so but it makes a lot more work for them again next off season. I’d like to see maybe another vet and then ideally a guy with 2-3 years left.

Doubt he is there long so that's a plus. Then they can go back to irrelevance.
I like the pickup if we can add him. Versatile, have to at least respect him from 3. And at 6’8 220 has the size and presumably old man strength to match up with most college front court players, and should be quick enough to match up with the better athletes and switch if needed.
Think he slots into our front court nicely with or without Coleman.
Biggest need is still a playmaking PG. If we don’t get a good, experienced PG I think our ceiling is severely limited. Sort of feels like the football team in that QB play could sink our entire season. Hope the staff has a plan. And a plan B and plan C.

They had two different directions they could go. This was one of them. The fit with Coleman would be really good

and thanks to the rest of you too! i put in 8 hours on the clock Mon-Fri, but im probably only actively working about half that because of you all. And honestly, i havent been happier at work in a long time because of it. production is way up too BTW.

Without naming names…. Why is this a good fit for Coleman? Prior relationship? Style of play? Allowing Coleman to play a more traditional stretch 4 rather than initiate offense?
So this won’t be a repeat of filling out our practice roster with European kids?
Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just that Giorgi has been the only meaningful Euro contributor during BUs tenure.
This assumes we do not add another big/5, though. Has there been talk that they're not interested in adding another 4/5?
I know 0440 has said he doesn’t think Coleman wants to or will play the 5, but from my POV, it’s a good fit because it allows us to go with a small and fast lineup void of mismatches (Coleman and Guerrier can at least passably guard 1-5). Plus, having shooting threats at the 4 and 5 allows you to stretch the defense at every position (except perhaps the 3 if Rodgers starts).
Guerrier is also strong enough that hopefully rebounding wouldn’t be a major concern with that smaller lineup, especially if Rodgers is the 3. Guerrier did average 8.4 boards his last year at Cuse.

We're out of scholarships to do so if Hawkins and Shannon come back and with PG the top priority for the other one.
Interesting, I thought we had more spots. Maybe I wasn't taking into account the recent additions.
Maybe Guerrier could play a small ball 5?
If Guerrier is coming here and Coleman comes back? Not this year. The other scholarship will be used on a point guard then see what Shannon does

I don't see it at all, that's why it's a weird choice for me. All of our targets for that spot have seemed to be in that mold too, bar the Hunter pipe dream.
Justin Harmon is a stretch as a lead guard too.
I have great faith in the PG process to give us a more reliable option than we had last year. I like Domask as a replacement for RJ and some of what Mayer provided as well.
But the roster as a whole seems to be developing some of the same imbalances it had last year, and that's leaving aside the longer term concern that all the minutes will be going to one-and-dones.
