1) I choose to stick my head in the sand and believe the insiders more than our own self doubt that silence means we are getting shafted.

2) Nothing really stopping Terrance from becoming Agbaji except staying aggressive and 3 pt shooting. The two players are otherwise eerily similar.

Not saying it will happen but losing out to IU would be pretty unacceptable in this one.
I think Brad knows that and I don't see that happens, either. Baylor actually sounds more threatening to me.

Illinois has made NCAA 3 years in a row including a #1 seed and a Big Ten regular season championship.

We have solid NIL program and play in front of 16,000 loud fans at AH.

Most importantly our current roster only includes 1 PG zero star freshman Nico.

It does not get better than that for a transfer PG. If RayJ goes elsewhere I am sure another PG will find a way to Illinois.

Vegetarian? Can someone discuss some veggie dishes? 😁
Try Kadhai Paneer please. You'll love it.

Yes we would get another PG, but the drop off in talent would likely be substantial…unless Tyga or Boswell came into play

Hawkins is a good college player but is still more of an athlete than skilled.

If he comes back and he can perfect the NBA level stretch 4
- Shoot +38% from three's vs 28% last year
- Show reliable post up game to leverage his size - could add 5 ppg to his average
- eliminate bad passes last year 2.5 TO per game

I think back to players who took a big step their JR year to improve their draft status (I know its Coleman's SR)

Derek Harper
- improved scoring from 8 to 15 ppg
- improved shooting from 46% to 54%
- drafted 11th in first round

Brian Cooke
- improved scoring from 14 to 20 ppg
- draft 24th in first round
Any NBA scout who wants to keep his/her job will pass on CH this year.

He has the tools, he just needs to stop making so many bonehead plays along with the great ones......

I remember when Jerry Krause drafted Elton Brand #1 and said it was because he had big hands.

Drafting somebody who can't score 15 ppg in college and expecting him to thrive in NBA is crazy.

Coleman is not a Scotty Pippen or Dennis Rodman playing at AIA school with freak ability/athleticism. He is a very mobile 6'10" who has an erratic 3 point shot, does not like to play in paint, good handles but turns the ball over too much trying to make the spectacular pass and plays good perimeter defense. That is not NBA ready.

Coleman has been at Illinois 3 years so if he had superstar potential he would have forced his way into starting lineup as 30 mpg player as an underclassman instead having to wait till he was JR.

JMO - he has a way to develop. If he comes back he can play 35 mpg and improve his offensive game. G-league is brutal and pays a lot less.
