I believe he was born with clubfoot- most people with that condition do not play sports at all, let alone reach an elite level of athletic competition
Club foot was my first guess when I saw the post asking about his leg being smaller, it’s common with the condition. My son was born with a right club foot. RayJ had both legs in casts for two years which sounds awful. My son only had a cast for eight weeks on one leg.

Sports are really good treatment for as long as they can stay in them. Keeping your foot flexible is key. If you’re born with talent to make it to D1 the club foot won’t hold you back.

From the top of my head, famous athletes born with a club foot: Jon Rahm, Troy Aikman, Mia Hamm. I know there are many others that you wouldn’t expect.

"There also doesn't appear to be a real backup plan should Illinois' top point guard priority wind up in Bloomington, Ind., Waco, Texas, or some other corner of the college basketball world instead."

I'm not saying it's going to happen but what would be the option if RayJ went elsewhere?

I haven't heard about Taran Armstrong other then 247 saying he's going pro. Are there any other pgs left?

Something interesting I noticed: Illinois shot a higher 2pt% than Purdue even with Zach Edey.
Illinois: 623/1131 (55.1%)
Purdue: 645/1193 (54.1%)
I guess Purdue's guards suck at layups or something.
This is because Dainja rarely missed under the basket.

What Underwood is doing is called reloading. Also, does he know the portal is closed?
