I can confirm that Drew Timme is also in Chicago for the draft combine. Ran into him at O’Hare today and got a selfie. Told him we wanted him to commit to Illinois out of high school and wished him all the best in the NBA! In retrospect, I bet he has no regrets choosing Gonzaga!

Edey is Canadian. Don't think he can make NIL.

Apparently Purdue will play a game in Toronto next season to give Edey a chance to make something.

Seems as long as the deal is signed outside of the US the player can make money. I am by no means a tax expert on visas but I am willing to bet there are loop holes

Hopefully it wasn't because they got another guard...

Love has put his name out there, but he's still expected to stay at UM
sorry to reply to you specifically, but it's late and you're active :ROFLMAO: did you by chance hear anything about how RayJ's visit went today? I truly have no clue how Baylor's NIL situation is, and they're supposed to have decent guard play already, no? Walter is for sure gonna be a stud

Champaign Centennial upcoming senior....and my nephew...
That's awesome! I know him very well. Really good player! My girlfriends son plays up with him sometimes. He's also with Mac Irvin Fire (U15). Urbana High freshman. Kyree Hillsman! Varsity starter this year as a freshman. Definitely some talented players coming out of this area locally.

Insiders, are there any guys we have some type of connection to who we'll go after if Coleman (very likely) heads to the NBA?
Not an insider, but a possible replacement is Adrame Diongue, a 7-foot center from Washington State. We offered him last year when he was No. 43 in ESPN's Top 100. Former soccer player who has only played competitive basketball for a handful of years (sound like anyone?). Athletic rim runner who would come off the bench for his defense. Would have three years of eligibility.

Another option would be to wait for the NBA draft to work itself out and we pick up someone looking for a change to help position themselves for next year's draft. Coleman leaving frees up NIL money and we are starting to show we are developing people for professional ball making us a desirable destination. For a list of possible targets, you would have to track down an actual insider.
