Not directly but indirectly if what I heard from some people is correct. This came from BP so its one side of the story so take it for what its worth. I watched a Santa Clara game where Brandin went off, 27 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 Steals if I remember correctly, if not, the numbers were close. Anyhow, during the game, the announcer talked about Brandin’s time with the Illini and the way the announcer put it, it did not go well with Brandin. Brandin was told by Brad to just stand in the corner and not move. Basically, if this is true, was one of the keys to BP leaving. Also, he saw Meyer, Shannon and the 4 freshmen coming in and he felt like he was not going to see time on the court. Anyhow, like I said, this is one side of the story and we will never hear the other side. Plus I think BP’s dad was not very happy as if memory serves me, he was on this board. It’s one of a number of kids who missed on one school and found treasure at another.

One never know's how life will turn out until the present becomes the past..................................

Anybody that claims they would rather of had Podz over TSJ, Mayer, or Skyy previous to the end of year numbers is fooling themselves. Hindsight is 20/20 but there was absolutely zero thought of Podz's numbers exploding at a division 2 school little lone any other major conference school. I love a great underdog story, and always root for any player that plays for/leaves the Illini on good terms but just can't see Podz making it stick in the NBA. Hell, even Ayo is struggling to find his place in the league and nobody would have traded Podz for Ayo.
