Much more the profile we're missing.I’d actually be on board with Woodbury based on the highlights I’ve watched…over the last 5 minutes
If we can snag Trey Woodbury, that'd be a big win all things considered. I'll still say though that I do not like the idea of Creaning whatsoever and I am not comfortable with us basically pulling a scholarship from someone/forcing them out the door even if it does fill the hole at starting PG. I think there's a line that if you cross you start losing legitimacy and trust as a coach and program and that's one of those lines for me. It might win you a one year battle but it tends to lead to multiple years of losses.
Fears hasn’t played a single minute in college. Hindsight is fun. Also, we needed Skyy last year, tell me how Fears helps this team last year.Jeremy Fears is looking pretty darn good now. But no... y'all insisted the Clark brothers were the way to go. How comical it's all turning out to be.
I can assure you I was. You’re also assuming Fears is going to be some super productive freshman at MSU next season.Apparently you weren't reading this board back then.
You basically picked all of the few that have, most have dramatic drop offs in production. https://www.economist.com/game-theo...to-be-the-golden-state-warriors-silver-bulletKevin Durant, Wesley Mathews, Dominque Wilkins, Rudy Gay have come back from an Achilles and have not or did not decline. This is not an injury that you are unable to recover from.
Seems like getting Woodbury in the fold and then waiting to see if something opened up for JWill might have been a better look (if what's being suggested actually has any merit). If we can snag Trey Woodbury, that'd be a big win all things considered. He was like their first or second best player, Harmon was at best their 4th best playerRegarding Woodbury…Never heard of him. Just watched highlight video of him. I think he could be a great fit given the talent that’s surrounding him. Played for Utah valley… is this the same team that Harmon was on?
Any idea when this might unfold and come to fruition?TA coming through clutch …
All roads lead to Champaign-Urbana. LolThese days, there's a decent chance he ends up here eventually. /s
Yes, he still holds a scholarshipPardon my ignorance but if Williams doesn't play this year for whatever reason and we add another point guard, does anyone really have to be Creaned?
What does any of that have to do with someone's ability to re-cover quickly?Durant and Wilkins were unusual in that they tore in their non-dominant leg as well.
Also, those are like Hall of Fame talent, not middling guards on a middling team in a middling conference.
How does Geoff still have a job?
The WAC was a lot better than it historically has been this year, with Pomeroy grading it out above the A-10 (and well above the MAC, if we're still thinking about that). Utah Valley had it a bit easier than the rest of the conference because they were the best team and you don't play against yourself, but nonetheless they played a decent schedule that included the #48 non-conference SOS.Not many P6 games for Woodbury. But that Oregon line looks awesome.
No link but do you think it was a coincidence that he committed the day after Flagler announced?
Pretty funny that they feel the need to add #D1 in the tweet as if ppl need the reminder.I’d actually be on board with Woodbury based on the highlights I’ve watched…over the last 5 minutes
Storm of criticism? No way. It's been a highly successful off-season.Actually been a good offseason of additions to this team up until today. Does seem that Underwood put too much faith in his ability to close the door on this one, and now has the door wide open for a storm of criticism.
I have a glimmer of hope yet, based on past years that looked really bad, but Brad found a way to add the pieces that at least on paper looked promising.
So we will see. Go Illini
