While we're on the subject of point guards. I think having continuity at the position is an important thing. For a pg to be really really effective, he has to know his teammates and his teammates have to know him... that rarely happens over the course of one summer. And we won't get to benefit from any kind of pg continuity until 2025 or 2026.

Here are our starting pg's since Ayo:

2022 - Belo, Trent
2023 - Clark, Epps
2024 - unknown transfer
2025 - maybe DGL?

More than missing on a single transfer pg, this is my concern. Revolving door.
Ayo wasn't really a PG.

How? If staff

it wasn’t long ago when all of Illini nation was clutching their pearls over crean’s shameful lack of integrity. Somehow it’s now ok for us? You are that thirsty? Gross
2 freshman guards left us recently, one of which quit after only half a season. Is that thirsty and gross?

Williams ain’t no walk-on 😂 the kid needs more respect on here. Is he a world beater? No. But he comes with little baggage/drama and will work his tail off. Doesn’t mind to play second fiddle and push the ball around the court to scorers.
I think you missed my point. Anyone can be a walk-on for enough NIL money. I'd rather we do that than Crean someone already on the roster

Not much when you can do when:
Kid makes a promise
Kid goes behind your back and goes on another college visit
You up the NIL (Highest by far for any of the schools)
Get kids family behind Illinois
Kid still goes somewhere else
But it should not have come to that!!! If we had other players just as good who wanted to play for us, why would you wait and take the chance of a situation happening that just happened???

I am fine with the Williams addition. I hope we add another PG. Also I think it will be interesting to see the development of DGL. I think he needs time to adjust but he is very quick and has skill on the offensive end. I hope he is putting on a few pounds. I don't want to count on DGL. I want other options but I would not right off the possibility he could do better than expected.

Regarding Woodbury…Never heard of him. Just watched highlight video of him. I think he could be a great fit given the talent that’s surrounding him. Played for Utah valley… is this the same team that Harmon was on?

I’d be all for reeves no matter the fit. Adding a 14.4 ppg player from the SEC? Give me some of that any day.
