Shouldn’t harbaugh be fired by scUM for that clause because I think he brings shame

All kidding aside that clause is weak and is like the UCMJ article for unbecoming of an officer. If they want you gone they have their out

I listened to a sports radio show while traveling this week and this is what they said. First, Tucker and his wife have been separated for a while now and a divorce is being negotiated by lawyers. They also stated that Tucker and Tracy had a fling going on since she 1st talk to the team even though they lived far apart. The phone sex did happen but what I find odd is she states she couldn't hang up the phone for 36 minutes because she was traumatized??? Why be traumatized if you were already in a physical relationship for a while? Something is weird here.

Even if this story is true, Tucker is an idiot either way.

What makes him an idiot? Lot's of people say this, but I have yet to see any reason for it? It sounds like he was in a long distance relationship and got a little frisky one night. That's being an idiot? If Tucker is to be believed, it sounds like this was just a part of their long distance relationship. If I were them, I would have taken better use of modern technology, but I see nothing idiotic about it. They're adults after all.

Being so traumatized you can't hang up a phone is one hell of a stretch, especially when you also apparently couldn't drop the phone, or set it down and walk away either? I don't know what a person could say that would paralyze you. Maybe he was whipping out the dirty talk like Seinfeld. It didn't work out well for Jerry either.

He's an idiot because the optics are obviously bad and his contract is in jeopardy. That he's an idiot is confirmed by the result.

She's an idiot too, it appears .

Yeah, I think this comes under Article 135 of the UCMJ, "Stupid off Station".

He’s an idiot because she’s a contractor for the university and he’s a high profile employee. He’s an even bigger idiot for not disclosing the relationship to the university as soon as it became romantic. I’m guessing he didn’t because he knew he was being an idiot for the relationship in the first place.

He could possibly be an even bigger idiot if he’s genuinely surprised by the consequences of his actions (though I have my doubts that he’s actually surprised vs just playing the game so he can get a payout).

so he should have known that his "girlfriend" could accuse him of sexual harassment for anything sexual I do someday, so I better just stick with trips to the malt shop and maybe build up the courage to ask her to wear my pin?

Come on, this whole story is ridiculous to the extreme, and illustrates a real problem in today's society. I always caveat every post on this topic with I don't know the truth. He could have done something awful, but from the outside looking in, with the information that is publicly available, this feels like a sham.

you 100% CAN NOT have a relationship with a colleague at work or a vendor at work

END OF STORY .
he’s a fool for doing so . it never ends well

Not true, I’ve been happily married for 22 years.
We simply let HR know and while I continued to give work direction performance evaluations shifted to someone else.

Is that really true? I understand with people you supervise but just a colleague? I've seen lots of those relationships go well.

But it's really irrelevant for a person in Tucker's position. You've got millions and a public image to maintain. She's the last person you'd want to date.

Was it really a colleague? I thought she was a contractor who had one one-day gig with the FB program.

My firm opinion on this matter went flaccid when I learned he wasn't really cheating on his wife (assuming it's true that he has been separated for a long time and they are finalizing a divorce).

The adultery piece was the biggest problem for me, but if that's not a part of the story, then this truly seems like consenting adults who are not colleagues, doing some kinky sh*t that adults do, and the only reason the "optics are bad" is because she came out with this victim story and because of the way people are unfairly tried in the court of public opinion nowadays, instantly, with certainty.

Maybe he showed poor judgment in some way, but I don't know that I'd call him an idiot. It takes two to tango.

He cancelled her future gigs after her complaint. Even most idiots know better than that! I mean who doesn’t know where retaliation leads? Complaint + retaliation = slam dunk lawsuit, a bit publicly embarrassing to his employer.

Well, of course he couldn't have "known". But he could have guessed.

I totally agree this looks like a sham. But you know what? I would have figured that out long before I started approaching her as a "girlfriend".

Sorry, I may have the timeline wrong. You mean he cancelled her gigs after her complaint about the phone-sex call that she couldn't hang up, or was there another complaint?

Here’s the USA Today article. Sounds like he abruptly cancelled her next training session after the phone sex but before her public complaint.

Retaliation in any dispute is a great way to cook your own goose..
