Every time I see Caleb Williams in a commercial I think, is that Deron Williams' kid??

Strange take. Heading into the 4th quarter, PSU has 20 first downs to Iowa’s 2. This is a beat down.
Yeah, the score really doesn't do justice to how far apart Iowa and PSU really are.

There's something to be said about home field advantage/white out/first away game for a QB, but there is nothing that Iowa is showing me that makes me think they are better than Illinois, let alone Top 25 material.

Unrelated but the TE for Arkansas is putting on a clinic right now.

EIU defeated McNeese today 31-28. Panthers came back from a 28-7 deficit in the 2nd quarter to win on a 56-yard field goal by placekicker Stone Galloway with 20 seconds left in the game. Even more impressive when you consider it was the first kick Galloway had taken all season after straining a muscle in his kicking leg prior to the season opener at Indiana State. It was only the 8th field goal of 50+ yards in program history. The Panthers offense was led by redshirt freshman running back MJ Flowers who had 272 yards rushing on 37 carries with a rushing TD. Flowers' rushing total was the 3rd highest in a single game in program history.

EIU returns to action next Saturday night at Northwestern State. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM and the game will air on ESPN+.

Because Iowa's D was on the field the entirety of the first half. They were obviously going to hit the wall in the second. It has utterly no offense but a defense on which PSU scored 70% of its 10 first-half points only because of a special-teams gaffe yielding a short-field position.

So not so strange unless I'm missing something. I've seen PSU play three times this season and can't understand why they're in the top 10. OSU and ND, no problem there. Oregon, yeah. PSU, just don't see it. Yet, as I noted. Perhaps they'll become transformed playing stiffer opposition.

Didn’t think it was smart going for it. Kick the fg play defense then fg wins it. Going for it means they didn’t trust the defense.
Totally agree kick the FG and if you are going to go for it....you have to have a better play then what they decided to run my goodness that was bad lol

Yes. Better still, kick the FG in the first half on 4th down in chip shot range instead of going for it. Take the points when given. They left three on the table. Why you'd go for it then unless forced to do so eludes me. If they'd done that then the 4th down with 4 mins remining becomes a FG that puts them up two. Perhaps someone smarter than I am about these things can explain Ryan Day's logic. He gets paid a lot to make these decisions.

I am not overwhelmed by PSU, but 61 total yards of offense by Iowa with 5 minutes to go? Iowa ranked #24? I didn't believe the expectations for that team at all. I don't know how ANY voter could give them anything at all this week.

Notre Dame played "prevent nothing" defense on the second from last play in that game and it killed them.

Sad part, Notre Dame's choke might have the B1G a playoff spot over a more deserving team.

Northwestern just tied Minnesota 31-31 with 2 seconds left. Going to overtime.
