I confess I am spending gentleman's time watching that TD toss to IW on a loop. No "borderline" involved. Full-on, Tumblr-worthy erotica. I can't stop scrolling.

Complete JP dime thrown 40 yards slightly to the right while rolling out to his left. IW didn't have to break stride.

Absolutely filthy. As Jimmy Carter admitted in his infamous Playboy interview: I have committed adultery in my heart.

I fear this may impair my functioning for several days.

Potential season saving win. John Paddock goes in the museum of Illinois football and the defense really performed well in the 2nd half.

Small print: My oh my what a maddening stretch of offensive football that was. Altmyer's only completion of more than 5 air yards in the 2nd half was the check down to Feagin after the holding call.

So win out and get somebody else to score double digits on Iowa and we’d have the tie breaker?

It could but a few different things would have to happen. Assuming we win out, Nebraska and Wisky would have to lose at least twice more since they have the tiebreakers on us. Minnesota would have to lose at least another game (which is likely since they still have to travel to Columbus) and Iowa would have to lose at least one of their other remaining games other than our game against them.

The only tiebreaker that would help us if we would win out would be a tie between us and Iowa or Minnesota or a tie between us and Iowa and Minnesota.

Um. I’m sorry. Did we actually just win that game in Minneapolis? I’m gobsmacked.

Reminded me of the thrilling 1988 come from behind, last-minute win 21-20 v #20 Indiana in 1988.

Coincidentally, 35 ago tomorrow. That game was when I realized Mackovic had the kernel of something special on the field.
IIRC, George led two TD drives in the last 5 minutes? Right?

Last couple minutes of that Wisconsin loss loom very large.

This season has been a journey, to say the least. The highs and lows have been extreme. But….the majority of quarters we’ve played since the start of the Maryland game have been good. 4qtrs of Maryland, 3 of Wisc, I’d argue 3 tonight (2nd quarter really bothered me).

We are trending up, and look more competitive in the process. It reminds me of the stretch after Virginia in 2021. We collected ourselves in that stretch of games that gave me confidence. I’m seeing something similar here. Only difference is that the offense is a huge part of it. I’ll give Lunney some credit for that. Play calling was improved today.
