Turnovers in the final 10 minutes killed us. Credit to Marquette, they’re legit. Love having a game like this in November. It’ll pay dividends later in the season.
Hawkins still very frustrating to watch. Both teams had a ton of effort but massive differences in basketball IQ.

Just can’t be that mad at this loss. That was a darn good Marquette team that will go far this year. Definitely some room for improvement and better ball control and the rim seemed to have a lid at times but this Marquette team was unforgiving with our mistakes and just made us pay each time. We put great effort in and I think we’ll have some great film to study.

Agreed, but man … wanted that one. Assuming no epic collapses at home, we pretty much have to beat Rutgers in Jersey and FAU at the Garden now, IMO. Just a lot more pressure.

Also our team is large composed of parts playing their 3rd real game together while Marquette is both veteran and familiar with each other.
I am not worried. It was a good, competitive game.
