My feeling is to trust Bret on this one... one on hand he's shown he's more than willing to move on when a scheme isn't working. However, Petersen is a veteran OC who should know how to get the most out of his players as a P5 and our offense was horrendous.
Henry has never been a DC, and it showed. You could make the argument for a change, sure... but I also don't know if you can let one year define a new DC. I think in some aspects we are really not considering how much turnover the secondary had. For 1, Taz has Witherspoon across from him in 2022 so we were probably much more able to give him some help. He wasn't going to get that as much this year. Our defensive scheme is one that needs decisive, athletic play in the secondary and that comes from experience. With all the injuries and new faces I'm not surprised that we struggled, I just thought we'd make up for it up front.... which we really didn't apart from Newton.
I say give him another year with the caveat that two things must be more apparent. Better secondary play and more effective adjustments.
On O I'm fine with Lunney staying if we can cut out the turnovers and get some TE's with softer hands.
