Really expect to see Ty at PG next year. Moretti the backup or maybe Butler (at 6’4”). DGL a terrific athlete but don’t see where he fits. He and Dain are really good players but don’t fit the current system. Also expect Sencire to be able to shoot and he will be the new one man fast break. Will be surprised if there isn’t a big from the portal. Difficult for me to imagine equivalent players for Ty, Hawk, and Marcus. But then I didn’t imagine what we would get from those guys this year. Need to enjoy this year.
Hard to predict without knowing what they will pick up on the portal. Ty will likely play a very similar role next year. He isn't a traditional PG now and likely won't ever be one, but he has been fairly effective doing what he does. Moretti will likely play a similar role as he is this year, a role-player PG to give the offense a different look. DGL is an unknown, but I think that he is going to be a very good piece and a possible break out star. Buck also is an unknown at this point. Love his energy and defense, but will his shot and decision making be vastly improved? Going to be hard to replace TJ, ColeHawk, Q, Harmon, and Marcus. Those are old guys that really have provided our backbone this year. Tons of talent coming (that we already know about), and likely a bunch more coming through the portal.

by the time he's an upperclassman, he's got a decent shot at being really good
Hoping it is a Coleman Hawkins trajectory. Size and skills match but not sure of BB IQ and foot speed. Would love to see Amani, Morez and him on the court at the same time. Match up problems huge if they can play defense.

Full disclosure, I completely trust the staff (I used to watch video on recruits with previous coaches and feel I had a valid opinion).

Hard not to see a Coleman comp based on his highlights. Blocking machine, versatile, can come out and guard, decent ball handling, runs the floor, maybe not explosive. I felt that about Coleman in his high school film too btw, and his physical development has brought him up very nicely. Stamina plus weight training can make a huge difference. Not sure they'll be another Coleman Hawkins, but I can see why the staff likes him. One of the guys Werner interviewed thought he could play alongside Morez since their games are so different, and that sounds amazing.

definitely think he can play alongside Morez. I expect it's gonna happen a lot, once JJ is ready. a year with Fletch and practicing with/against high major bigs should be huge for his development. like Hawkins, the kid is kind of a unicorn (obviously needs polishing). he has a very complementary skill set to more traditional bigs
