Degree of difficulty on a lot of our missed two's was very high. They were highly contested. And a lot were just missed tip ins.

The shot quality difference between us and them was pretty stark.

I do agree we were gassed, but that was because we shortened the bench so much in the second half.

I sometimes feel like Brad's defensive adjustments amount to "play harder". That's not always wrong but sure didn't work tonight.

And will have more when/if the refs start calling offensive fouls when he is bulldozing the defenders. I like him being aggressive to the rim, but I think he is playing a bit out of control right now.

2 of the misses were when the game was already over ... We were 18-22 at the line without those ...

The flipside of getting your "star" back is that the team ball that's we were playing, where everyone got minutes, everyone was engaged, everyone was touching the ball...that concept went out the window.

Ty didn't play the final 18 minutes. That's not ok.

Domask really struggled on him, too.

Everyone we threw at him in second half got torched. They needed ty on defense but needed Harmon on offense. Tough decision to make

Every one of their players shot 50% from the field or above for the night except Langborg who was 3 for 8. We couldn't stop anyone? Very disappointed in the defense tonight and lack of coaching adjustments by the coaches.

Brad did nothing to adjust on defense to stop switching off Buie on the top of the key pick. Northwestern abused that all night to get the matchup they wanted, and it worked all night.

Illinois wins in regulation easy if the layups go in. Defense was terrible tonight, but it looked more like tired defense in ot. I thought NW's second 3 in ot should have been negated due to a moving screen, but the refs let a lot go all game.

Tough to win road B1G games, especially when missing so many bunnies. Getting outshot % by a wide margin, and -15 net pts off turnovers, is a recipe to get blown out. Even still, it was a tight game until OT. This speaks volumes to the rebounding effort of the team.

Disappointed anytime losing to the Mildcats, but it is hard to be discouraged about the longterm outlook of this team. Protect the home court Saturday and destroy NW in B1G tourney should that be the draw!

The only call by the refs that really pissed me off was the reversal whistle on Boos travel and then they hit the 3... I just knew that was huge at the end
Still Domasks last shot he usually hits but not today
. That plus so many missed layups.

Also hte call where they threw it out of bounds and then called harmon and barnhizer colliding after the ball was already gone.

Makes me sad that freaking Northwestern has two better wins than we do.

2) 80% of northwesterns offense was initiated by an illegal screen.
3) I feel for TJ man. It’s easy to say “tune it out, or feed off of it,” but that was brutal. I can’t stop thinking about his family. I hope his mother didn’t watch that.

TSJ got torched on a few possessions by Boo as well, including their last one in regulation.

That last one in reg Coleman could have provided help it seemed to me, he was outside with Nicholson where he couldn't hurt you

We really have some defensive things to clean up. With that being said, we played overall good and would have beaten a bunch of good teams on the road playing like that. NW played out of their minds, give them credit. Missed too many layups as well.

Shannon clearly has some rust to work off, which is fine. Once he gets going, we really are going to get on a roll here
