I disagree. It was lost at the top of the key when we let Buie decide who guarded him (always Domask or Goode)
Lost to a decent team on the road in what was absolutely the best game I've watched all year. We played well enough, but Buie was lights out when he needed to be.

Anyone remember the in game stat on win percentages by top 10 teams in true road games for last 5-7 years? Used to be . 700. Now it's about . 450. It's frickin' hard to win on the road, even as a top team.

"This game is no gimme. It will be a credit to the team and coaches if we win. More so if we win comfortably."
Leading up to the suspension, this was looking to be one of the greatest coaching jobs I've seen in over 4 decades watching this team. People here overrate our talent and I think have kinda underrated how special the sum of these parts was.
I actually feel like we're going to get it back. But this crazy month has taken a mental toll.

No real hot take here. The loss to MD put us in a bad spot. It was a bad loss and it put us behind the 8 ball with needing to win on the road. This was a critical game because it was a highly winnable game.
If you want to be a Big Ten contender and if you want to be a top 3 seed....you can't lose ones like this. You just can't. No hot take here.

Domask really struggled on him, too.
Strategic mistakes couldn’t be overcome with effort today. Ty is our ”starting point guard” but only plays 2 mins in the second half after having a good 1st half? Don’t make any adjustments to defend “the simple pin down”. We had 5 guys play 96% of the minutes in the 2nd half and OT.

Comments last season that Collins should get fired were pretty funny.
The only call by the refs that really pissed me off was the reversal whistle on Boos travel and then they hit the 3... I just knew that was huge at the end

It is not like Northwestern was rotating many players in the last 15 minutes and OT either.
Failure to execute layups, adjust defensively when we kept switching, and horrible identification at end of regulation. If gonna iso, spread it out and at least try to draw a foul. We were in double bonus. Attack at 6 from a 1 - 4 flat, crash boards in case of miss, time for put back. If we foul over the back who cares they weren't in bonus.
I have a lot of questions about this exact thought ... I was waiting for it all game ...
