That was a bad one for sure. Or when we barely got out of the thirties to beat MSU by 1.

But for me, Worst overall game I can remember (win or lose), was the loss at Neb when Meyers cried on the bench. That was the worst I’ve watched.
The home loss to Purdue three days previously, when BW threw his players under the bus at the postgame presser, was the moment when my patinece with him ended. Then as the clock wound down against Nebraska it was clear he'd lost the team and would be gone.

That Nebraska loss was awful but also a relief. Lost 12 of our final 14 that winter. Just wish we'd had 2017 Josh in 2012 to hire BW's replacement.

BTW, was reading the game recap on IU's Inside the Hall blog. Yesterday was the first time IU went 0-fer on treys in 14 years.

The Illini need to shore up their paint defense. Against Reese, Nicholsen and Renuan the the Illini looked bad. Hawkins has his problems vs bigger athletic centers. Dainga may help in the center 5 spot but Hawkins and Dainga on the floor at the same time is rare.
If you listen to his post game after Indiana I don’t think Underwood has any problem with bigs having career nights. He’s more concerned with getting beat from 3.

The day following that loss was the day I discovered Illinois Loyalty. A friend had told me about that postgame presser and when I got home from work I searched online for it and this was the website at the top of the search results. Have been on here damn near every single day since then.

Pretty similar to me. I knew BW's days here were numbered but out of respect for Bruce, no traditional media outlets were really talking about it. So I found Loyalty and was excited to learn we were getting Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens.

How many turnovers have we had these past couple games with the ball going off our own feet.

I don’t see it in other games. Is it bad luck? It seems like we have 2-3 lately

I was at that Nebraska game. I knew that was the final nail in the coffin. I had a drink after the game to commiserate the loss and also to celebrate moving on as it was clear a change was inevitable.
