Watching Duke vs Carolina is like having to choose between Hitler and Mussolini. I mean, sure I guess you root for Mussolini, but is Duke Mussolini or is Carolina?

Maybe one top player injury (minor in nature) while lower ranked wins?

My son is at the Louisville vs FSU game. Friend gave him ticks right almost next to the bench. I told him to wear Illini gear for Sky Clark.
Baylor winning likely moves us ahead of Iowa State in the rankings if we beat Nebraska. This game doesn’t affect us in any other way, so I’ll pull for Baylor.
(This is more in reference to IU thinking so highly of themselves that it'd be beneath them to be an NIT team)
I can’t ever root for duke and unc is somewhere in my do not root for list. Bacot gets under my skin for whatever reason too

Gus is amped up even by Gus standards. I wish I had that guy's energy. I really do think he just loves doing what he does and is a naturally excitable person. Personally, I'd rather see that than someone trying to force himself/herself to be less fired up.
I do have some personal experience with this. Many moons ago, I did high school play by play for football and basketball. I was pretty excitable when I broadcasted. Sure, I has some people say I needed to dial it back. I tried, but it was just not me. I didn't sound natural, so I decided "f*** it" and just decided to be myself. I always seemed to have a lot more people give me feedback that they liked that I seemed to be having fun and enjoying myself and the game as opposed to people saying something to the effect of, "Dude, try decaf."

I get sick of the narrative. They only played each other since 1920. We have played most of the original Big Ten opponents since early 1900s. There are fan bases that hate each other more. Yes 49 top 10 match ups is impressive and there were a lot meaningful games. But this is ESPN narrative because they have the TV rights. If Fox had the rights ESPN would down play the game. Have they ever had a coach throw a chair at a player shooting free throws? Or have they played each other in a final four? For Illinois Iowa scUM PU Wisky and MSU are all heated match ups. Our conference is not dominated by 2 teams
The best thing is have one of them blow the other out both games. That way one drops in the rankings
