Are we sure about that? Its getting played in a tiny arena. Fans will be right on top of the court, likely a full house due to the limited capacity and the small area will amplify the noise. One thing is for sure … we won’t have the atmosphere we faced at NU, MSU, Maryland or even Ohio State. Let’s win by double digits and keep this streak goin’.
Can't remember the last Illini game at 5:30
Shoot, good call! Totally forgot they moved it. Agree with your last point, of course! Are we sure about that? Its getting played in a tiny arena. Fans will be right on top of the court, likely a full house due to the limited capacity and the small area will amplify the noise.
Need to bury PSU early and take the crowd out of it.
There is no such thing.Honestly seems like a classic trap game after a big win on the road.
December 10th...we're goodI hope it's not Coleman's birthday Tuesday.
What about in the month of February? The FAU game at MSG earlier this season was a 5:30 start. Our game against Penn State in the BTT last season was a 5:30 start as well. Last time we played a conference regular season game with a 5:30 start was also at Penn State a couple days before Christmas 2020.

I must have missed it. Why have they changed venues for this game? There will be no Orange in that dinky little “arena” other than what the team brings. Penn State will allow no one but season ticket holders in rec Hall. What is Rec Hall? Think Huff Gym with more seats. It’s quaint. Built 1921 or such. I’ve been there for volleyball.
But I had bought tickets via SeatGeek—presumably from a season ticket holder—and SeatGeek took them back. I asked what the deal was, and SeatGeek said the seller was told he couldn’t sell them.
So the only way Illinois fans might be able to get tickets would be directly from the ticket holder.
All that said, Rec Hall seats 6,000, which is more than Penn State has averaged in the Bryce Jordan Center this year. And that includes single game tickets, season tickets sold on resellers, and whatever.
But I have Penn State fan friends, even with connections, who couldn’t get tickets. So it will be interesting to see how Penn State fills that arena. Dragoon students off the street?
My Penn State fan friends agree it’s not a good look for PSU.
