Let's get two of them in the next weekWould be our first Q1A win of the season.
For those of you that complained about Bardo...this one's for you.LaPhonso Ellis on the call? OMG.
Fair, but this tells me that their only real impressive win at home is MSU - and that was eons ago when Wisconsin was a seemingly different team. None of those other wins are terribly intimidating.Wisconsin is terrible road team (everybody in B10 besides Purdue is below .500 on road ). Unfortunately we are playing Badgers at their home so it will be real test this Saturday. If we want 3 or 4 NCAA seed we have to beat some good teams on the road.
Wisconsin losses are all on roard except Purdue

Ughhh. How do I do the radio sync? Isn't there an app I need? Might be worth the trouble for this one!LaPhonso on the call? No thanks.
Radio sync it is then!
I think you are right, and also that the poster you were replying to makes a good point too: our bigger guards use their length well, but at times, the sheer speed of some of the smaller and really good guards in the B1G is a problem for our guys on defense. So I certainly agree that running good shooters off the 3 point line does make it look at times like our perimeter defenders (e.g., Rogers, Domask) can't keep up with the Buie's of the league, it does also look very much like our big guards have trouble changing directions as fast as the waterbug guards do.I think this is a symptom of trying to run the other guards off the 3pt line. They play them tight and the opposing player often gets a step on them.
Deon and Ellis will be how close to each other?Ughhh. How do I do the radio sync? Isn't there an app I need? Might be worth the trouble for this one!
Such an informative article with a lot of inside information !Don't you all think this reads like a ChatGPT article?
Fwiw, last game I tried the Varsity app and couldn't figure out how to make it work. The initial radio broadcast it gave me was so far off from my YouTube TV broadcast that I wasn't even sure which way to go to get the two synched. (I think my video was about ten seconds ahead of what they were giving as the radio, but I just gave up rather than miss any more of the game futzing with it.)Ughhh. How do I do the radio sync? Interesting things that probably won't mean much for tomorrow:
-Matthew Mayer was the best player on the court.
-Jayden Epps played pretty well, made some big buckets in the second half to extend the lead.
We held them to 33% shooting. Hard to believe we were so much better at defense last year playing Mayer and Epps. I believe story line that we suck on defense is an aberration and that we will regress to the mean (an average defensive team) over time.
I re-watched last year's 61-51 win at Wisconsin to see how each team looked and if there was anything worth making note of based on who was playing for each team.
Things that could be relevant:
-Dain kept us in the game in the first half and they did not have anyone who could defend him one on one. We also didn't have to worry much about his defense because Crowl did not exhibit a strong post up game.
-Wahl and Crowl were able to booty ball Coleman down low, but neither finished well around the rim so they never really took full advantage.
-TSJ and Coleman were scoreless in the first half and combined to make only three baskets the whole game. They didn't shoot much at all either, only took nine shots combined.
-Wisconsin looked lost on offense, the presence of Storr is very helpful for them in terms of having someone who can create his own shot. Their best offense in the game last year was Chucky Hepburn jacking up threes and getting hot for a couple minutes.
Interesting things that probably won't mean much for tomorrow:
-Matthew Mayer was the best player on the court.
-We didn't reach double digit points until under 7 minutes to go in the first half...and we still never trailed by more than three.
-A 20-16 halftime score seems insane now after watching the Illini over the past month.
-Jayden Epps played pretty well, made some big buckets in the second half to extend the lead.
-The monster dunk between two Badgers from RJ was just as awesome as I remembered.
-Jordan Davis played more minutes for Wisconsin than he does for Illinois State now.
DWS just needs their own app. These 3rd party things are cumbersome and unreliableFwiw, last game I tried the Varsity app and couldn't figure out how to make it work. No hate - I don't like his voice, kinda like a nails on chalk board situation.Ok I’m out of the loop here, why do we hate LaPhonso Ellis?
