Big Ten All-Conference Awards

I definitely agree with Hoiberg. Painter not so much. He had pretty much the same team as he did last year with the same expectations. I think Underwood did a better job of holding the ship a float with all of the obstacles he had to face let alone putting this team together. What I am trying to say is that I don't agree with Painter getting co-coach. No way.

Painter falls in line with how B10 has treated coaches with the preseason team in the league. You get COTY only if you dominate the B10. In fairness, Purdue did just that. Hoiberg is also a really good candidate. Preseason projected bottom half team finish in the Top 4. I would have preferred the B10 just give it to one of them, but I do think both have very good historic arguments as to why they should be COTY. Meanwhile I do agree that Brad had to do a lot more than either of them behind the scenes this season, but that's not how voting goes traditionally

Interesting. Agree with everyone except Perkins. He was one of my last picks for the honorable mentions. So far I'm nailing the Media selections through 2. Only had Braden and Walker swapped

He means so much to this team... B10 coaches know it too... wonder if on-court demeanor played a part? Hopefully, he'll get recognized on all B10 defensive team.. or has that already been announced and I missed it?

IMHO you don't give it to the guy who chose to start over with a new set of 5 year seniors over the guy who chose to keep his team together. Others may, that's why more than one person votes. It's coaching strategy, they chose different methods.

Damn. Feel bad for Coleman. IMO, he was deserving of All B10 second team and probably All Defensive team. I think his defensive reputation took a hit because he had to play out of position as a 5 all year rather than a 4. But still, I don't know how so many can ignore the impact he's had on the B1G's second best team and the nation's 13th best. The analytics certainly don't ignore him.

Edit to add: he was top 20 in the conference in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals. Not sure what else he needs to do.
