The second was, well, #2?In Central Illinois in the mid-60's....3. Pre-PBS.
To give a frame of reference re my age, I had 2 reactions to JFK's assassination, the main one being my displeasure at Captain Kangaroo being preempted

Another hoola hoop (pun ) day at good ole Loyalty..........we swing the hoop with our hips as our feeble feelings are expressed in a chicken little style reminiscent of the last time we lost an AC or THREE................c'mon everyone , grow a pair and support the Illini with all your O & B hearts.............We have lost AC's and had players transfer out before and look what we accomplished last year ..
We ended a nineteen year drought of reaching the Sweet Sixteen and even went a step further and made the Elite 8......do you all sleep with the lights on cause your too scared to be in the dark.........Same as here and being in the dark to the behind the scene's
going's on.....We have great insiders and we as Illini nation are more informed than the rest of college BB as to what to expect with our beloved...........
There are medications to relieve your apparent trauma syndrome's that affect's your posting of intelligent thoughts and idea's.......
Everyone is entitled to share their opinions here and I fully support that fact .........But think before you post whatever enters your head in the heat of the moment................
Chester left for his own reasons....Whatever the reason is , I support his choice as he is an alum and bleeds O & B .........To try to investigate his reason opens up conspiracy theories and those lead to more theories and so and so on......makes little sense to me to beat the dead horse into a mangled mess of horsesh*t that smells worse than Chester leaving........
But that's the Loyalty way and I support it as a community thing......I might not agree with what's posted but I respect the right to you posting whatever it is ....................................I imagine there are many posters like me who read a sentence or two of a lot of posts but then scroll past to the next post......I'm sure a lot of peeps either have me on ignore or just scroll past my highly intelligent posts (lol ) and that's OK with me.........
What's not OK is to take some disheartening news and try to turn it into a scandal of epic proportions.....We are better than that or at least we should be.........
JMHO.............................

Roller Derby (loved it) and Wrestling were early afternoon, the Golf-Bowling-MoOWKingdom troika afterwardsWhere did Roller Derby fit in?
Chester has done so much to show he loves his alma. He has every right to navigate a path he believes will get him the head coaching job he wants. It was a really lovely thing to have him back for a few years. I wish him nothing but the best. He's an Illini for life and I'll be cheering for him to succeed at every stop he takes. Unless he's playing us.If Chester bled orange n blue...he wouldn't left...
Not necessarily true. We don't know the entire story. If Chester bled orange n blue...he wouldn't left...
The second was the realization that the little boy saluting the casket didn't have a daddy anymore. I clung to mine like a limpet. The second was, well, #2?
What if he'd been offered a head coaching job?If Chester bled orange n blue...he wouldn't left...
Because, even though Woody Allen made it, it's hilarious without making you want to shower afterward. Michael Sheen as Paul alone makes it worth watching.Don't ask me why, but I've always liked that movie.
And the Bert Weiman Ford commercials
Don’t care. Cocktails, morel mushrooms and cattlemen steaks. I have lots of hobbies and the Illini are not even close to the top of my list. Move on!
It’s a lot shorter flight from Morgantown to the DMV area where Chester likes to recruit and has a lot of connections. If Chester bled orange n blue...he wouldn't left...
