At least some other B1G golf teams finished well back of Illinois. Hate to be small-minded, but I am Small-minded.
Northwestern will be tough to beat and OSU and msu aren’t bad too. But some of the other solid b10 teams lost some talent and i don’t think they will be easily replaced like Purdue and Indiana.

LSU struggled at the end which is a tough few holes so IL and them tied for 2nd good showing ole miss was very consistent all 3 days where we had 1 rough round that hurt. But great to bounce back from the first round. One more fall tournament to go!

Congrats to Jackson Buchanan for a huge tournament individual win with 2 crazy good rounds to finish the tournament -7. One ole miss and one LSU guy tied at -6 and max was top 4 at -4! Great job Jackson huge for the PGA Tour player thing they have.

Make no little plans, as Mr. Burnham said. Small plans, however, are inherently smart and should always be followed.

Much more like it this weekend. We don't need Jackson to win every time, but it is nice that he can, but we do need him to lead the charge. Brilliant stretch by Max also, he can really make some birdies. I mentioned earlier in this thread it was more on the top guys to do their thing and we would be just fine and yes second is just fine, but with trey and Ryan and very solid high floor guys we could kinda use a mercurial 5 that could fire low on occasion. Ethan is playing ok but it is more consistent and not quite low enough consistent. IF he was shooting more like +1 or even that consistency would be helpful but right now we could use a 79-69-77 or something like that to get a low counting round out of him.

We were gonna have a hard time beaten ole miss, home course AND one of the best teams in the nation. they are stacked with upper class talent and have finished now 2nd/2nd/1st/1st with a different low scorer in each tourney. They remind me of Florida a couple of years ago when they won the NCAAs. Very tough team.

Looking ahead to this weekend, this is one we should targeting for a W. Field is one of the weaker fields we will be in this year and the weakest of the fall for sure. lots of teams in the 70-100 ranking range with Clemson and Kennesaw St the best in the low 60s. Golf is one of those sports where any day anything can happen but we are in the big dog position for this match. lets hope they handled it well.

Gotta start with a first round much better than the previous tournaments this fall.

very good day for the boys. Jackson continues to play exceptional golf. Love to see him go back to back. Everybody has contributed in the starting 5 that is always nice. Ryan with a great rally after that quad, he seems like a grinder to me. Trey also fighting back from a bad first round, luckily Ethan kept that floor up with a solid even par. Keep it up boys.

I'm guessing this is not on Golfstat...... I checked earlier...

Try -- https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/233676/scoring/team

Scoreboard looks like it has replaced golfstat for most college golf tournaments.
Has it? I mean perhaps it has in the # of tournaments covered for some obscure ($$) reason. But in no way is it superior in format or user friendly dynamics. I have followed a few tournaments this year on Golfstat and in years past, and Scoreboard isn't even close.... Wrong move in my opinion if this is dictated by the NCAA.

Dictated by golfstat/ncaa. In the past any ncaa event automatically got golfstat due to partnership, but golfstat is expensive with how they get the data and people they have working for them at each tournament so they asked for more money per tournament and ncaa said no so now events pay for their own scoreboard website

So basically we are getting what we are paying for, subpar reporting on tournaments...

Any idea on what the cost difference is?

No idea I know it’s not cheap but no idea. I think all the regionals/ncaa championships and maybe conf champs will be golf stat.

Super solid effort and the type of scoring we need to win. With 3 different players dropped a score it means at least everybody counted twice. Great back end coverage allowing the guys going low to not et counteracted. Jackson again nearly got a win, dude is playing outstanding golf. Max and Ethan were particularly impressive with his final rounds of 66 and 68 that were the key to our final round push. Kennesaw nearly nipped us at the end, their counting 4 players today went 5 under on the final hole we went even. 5 stroke swing on the last hole, but up 7 through 17 is pretty comfortable actually. Alright, the break is on gotta feel good after the last two tourneys.
