I like how you think.Illini- 94 Little Rock-64 The Illini finally shoot well tonight and even make some free throws.
I hate to add to the post count, but this has to be the fewest posts in a pregame thread 8 hours before tipoff.
I think the unexplainable (to me) fascination with Ed Cooley might be the culprit. For once (twice?) in our Illini lifetimes, we are distracted by football.
Following up on the fewest postgame posts 8 hours after UMES. That Rutgers afterglow has strong staying power.I hate to add to the post count, but this has to be the fewest posts in a pregame thread 8 hours before tipoff.

I want all of our players to worry about making free throws, only shooting open threes(get to the basket), playing defense for 40 minutes(closing out properly) and taking care of the ball. Anything outside of that(as relates to basketball)....does not matter.I really really really really really hope we win comfortably tonight so one of our players can jokingly say post game “not bad for a bullsh*t school”
When it comes to a scrap my money is on Rez.I am preparing for an ugly game. From what I’ve ready AKLR forces a bunch of turnovers and play very scrappy

Yes yes, I hope we do all of those things, so we can win comfortably.I want all of our players to worry about making free throws, only shooting open threes(get to the basket), playing defense for 40 minutes(closing out properly) and taking care of the ball. Our schedule gets a lot tougher really quickly. If all of the above doesn't start to improve, it's going to be a lot more troublesome than it has to be.
May the spirit and aura of Ed Cooley no longer hang of the heads of our fans and players alike.
