Trojans were picked as the preseason favorites in the OVC. They're 3-3 overall with their 3 wins at home over NAIA Arkansas Baptist as well as at UTSA and at Tulsa. Their 3 losses were at Winthrop and Arkansas State and they just lost at Arkansas last night by 12. They'll also face Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday night at home.
Their head coach Darrell Walker is a Chicago native who played his high school ball at Corliss in the late 1970s before playing in college at Arkansas in the early 1980s. He later got drafted by the Knicks in the 1st round of the 1983 draft and ended up having a 10 year NBA career.

I’ve had this one circled. 2-day turnaround, “look-ahead” game with Arkansas 3 days after on Thanksgiving, and probably the best buy game on our schedule. Arkansas coughed it up 19x against these guys on Friday. Need to have our heads screwed on straight and come out sharp for this one.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching this live. Had family stuff all weekend and ended up watching Rutgers late night Saturday and UMES late night Sunday, both on replay. Knew results in both beforehand but still...wow.

I really really really really really hope we win comfortably tonight so one of our players can jokingly say post game “not bad for a bullsh*t school”
I want all of our players to worry about making free throws, only shooting open threes(get to the basket), playing defense for 40 minutes(closing out properly) and taking care of the ball. Anything outside of that(as relates to basketball)....does not matter.
Our schedule gets a lot tougher really quickly. If all of the above doesn't start to improve, it's going to be a lot more troublesome than it has to be.
May the spirit and aura of Ed Cooley no longer hang of the heads of our fans and players alike.
