this. being a VG/great coordinator (OC/DC) does not necessarily make one ready to be a competent head coach

According to $$$$, his wife currently does not live in with him because of possible misconduct with someone on football staff. Wife and kids allegedly have returned to Colorado.

Fun fact: Purdue score 320 total points in Ryan Walters' 18 Big Ten games as head coach. 93 of those points came in 2 games vs. Illinois.

Those 2 Illinois games represent 11% of the 18 total games played. The 93 points represent 29% of the total points scored.

The bad news is Purdue is going to hire someone with actual coaching credentials now. Someone like Jason Candle, Tyson Helton, or Jamey Chadwell.

Oh no he absolutely burned that bridge to the ground when it was already smoldering after he led Purdue on the field while our band was still performing the 3 in 1. There is 0 goodwill left with Illinois, BB, and I'm guessing JW. Walters can kick rocks.

We’re also hoping for 3 winning seasons in 5. I guess it’s a matter of “expectations”. And we’ll be ecstatic if/when it happens.
