Why is Beamer doing that. Thought it was weirdWhat no one mentions is Beamer started it. He came over to the injured Illini and patted him on the backside, saying get up, get to you sideline. Good for B! Replying!
Are Luke and Hank related? Doppelgängers?
Because he is a douche bag. Was pretty obvious after the game got going. College footballs coaching version of Dan Hurley. Why is Beamer doing that. Thought it was weird
I believe that was Mac R.The play he made coming from 15 yards deep to cut down Sellers was just amazing!
It was the T motion on the kick off not the injuryWhy is Beamer doing that. Thought it was weird
We have great young men. Hank Beatty is a straight up baller, pure football player. Son played against him for 2 yrs. Kid did everything for his high school. Fast, man kid can move. Next yr in slot watch out.
NOT!Looked way more like a "good tackle" butt tap to me.
Meh- kinda looked to me like he was just checking on himOH!!! And no one has mentioned that when Clarke was injured and taking a knee, before the Illini trainers (and Bret) got out there, Beamer went over and smacked Clarke on the butt. Looked like he was trying to get him to get up or something. Anyone else notice that??!
S&C Coach, Luke Day- dude is a loose cannon. Rumor is he has run off a lot of talent over the years.Who was the frickin' idiot with the beard and shades pumping his fists like a roided up lunatic on the S. Carolina sideline?
Didn't White leave to Coach the Raiders?A football coach we wanted to keep has left once in the history of the program when Mack went to one of the bluest of blue blood programs. That is hardly “past sins”.
And there is no way Whitman is letting him leave for freaking Iowa.
I didnt think this recap was bad? Did they rewrite it?More ESECPN apologies for Shane Beamer. He was a head case all day and should be getting blasted for distracting his team. But look who’s getting the blame…..

Well, an amazing play by Mac R then!I believe that was Mac R.
He came off like a red faced jerk the entire gameWhy is Beamer doing that. Thought it was weird
I thought I read that it was our first ever defeat of an SEC team... I guess they mean in a bowl game? Here is my deep and meticulous analysis of today’s 2024 Citrus Bowl:
THAT WAS ONE FUN FOOTBALL GAME!
Spirited... Back-and-forth... Heated at times. Well-matched teams playing with passion.
And like ‘Citrus’-things themselves... a little sweet and a little sour, with great and colorful appeal. The Citrus Bowl loaded and juiced with Illini Orange.
This has been an exciting season for the Illini Footballers. A solid, foundational-type season upon which to build for the future.
And it’s always extra sweet to beat an SEC Team – in the heart of SEC Country.
U of I is not just a roundball school any more. Welcome to the Illini ‘Road to ELITE’ in more ways than one.
Well, he does work for the SEC so....The ESPN sideline announcer is a real punk (background), used the word taunting way to many times.

I thought Beatty had an MVP type of game. What a dude.We have great young men. Hank Beatty is a straight up baller, pure football player. Son played against him for 2 yrs. Kid did everything for his high school. Fast, man kid can move. Next yr in slot watch out.
Do you think Coach Walters watched the game today. Purdont sucks!!!
nope, too busy counting his unearned money LOL
We were 0-6 lifetime vs the SEC in any game. Now we are 1-6. I'm surprised we have only played an SEC team 7 times.I thought I read that it was our first ever defeat of an SEC team... I guess they mean in a bowl game?
Yep, we almost got a safety on that play and they just ended up in the same place they would have if they hadn't tried to run it out. Then got hit with a 5 yd penalty LOLSpeaking of discipline, I must give the kickoff team a pat on the back. That hokey fake T-bar in the end zone and throwback across the field could have been a back breaker. But guys stayed alert. One of them almost tackled the second guy but got blocked in the back (no flag of course).
