Draft is all about potential among other things and Riley has it in spades.
Yup. That mock draft states teams love projects with high potential. If he rises in mocks as the season continues that means he’s improving in real time and the Illini are even more dangerous.

I haven't seen any evidence that he's a great passer.
BU said it himself last year (and prior year), and this is why I mentioned passer instead of distributor. I think if you look back at some old footage my assertion is supported but I don’t have any clips to share unfortunately. But being a good passer doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a good distributor running primary point. I’ll withhold judgment on that until I see it in action.

You can actually see the nasty swelling on his left hand.

We know he can defend, drive to the basket, and is a great passer. If he picks up a serviceable 3 pointer and can see the court half as good as KJ then he’d be a force to be reckoned with.
Color me skeptical. Who was the last point who couldn't shoot three? Chester? To me serviceable means Colemam sophomore year and I will believe Morez gets there first before Ty. My guess is this is marketing to help out Rodgers.

I love BU but I generally shrink everything he says. I believe what my eyes see and I've seen nothing indicating Ty is a great passer.

Having flashbacks to the Sergio-as-point-guard experiment.

A general heads up:

Disney just bought Fubo and plans to roll out a merged Hulu/Fubo lineup. Expect Fubo prices to jump significantly. Consider locking in your current price if you can.
Cue the Seinfeld gif.

Even without this insider knowledge, I also would have said no. KJ wants to play. He was bouncing off the proverbial walls last night on the bench. If the training staff says he's good to go, no chance is Brad keeping him on the bench.
I think he is spot on with that initial excerpt. Having KJ sit out for a few games could actually benefit the team in the long run. He’ll be back soon, and missing a couple of games against weaker opponents isn’t a big deal. While we all want to see him play, this seems like a smart, strategic move by BU. There’s really nothing to lose by being extra cautious for a week or so, and it also gives others a chance to grow and step up.

IMO he should be the runaway favorite for B10 FOY. Yes, runaway and I mean it.

Rutgers is not a tournament team. They might not even be a big ten tournament team. That is a bad team. We'll be competing for a conference title.

And it's not like the stats won't be remotely comparable or something - it's just that he'll end up probably averaging around 17PPG and they'll be at 20. With basically the same usage, assist and rebound rates in all essence. (if I'm comparing with Harper; since he seems to be the more liked one out of him/Bailey)

Rutgers is a bad team? We need to be very careful when we play them. After all, our only BIG loss is to Northwestern.
