Yeah, I agree, BUT, I really wanted the Bengals in the Playoffs. I have a connection to Cincy since living there in my youth and they are my first NFL rooting interest. I think they are an exciting and fun team to watch. Struggled out of the gate, but have played really well at Seasons End.
My in laws live there so I always feel an affinity for Cincinnati teams, but this is a good example of why to never want to leave your fate in the hands of others

He doesn’t say Illinois when they go through the player announcements before games?
This was the first time I saw an intro of Lions defense. I don’t understand why players don’t want to say the names of their schools. Do they dislike their school? Or do they think they are being clever? I honestly don’t get it. I never played varsity athletics, never earned a letter, never had a scholarship, and yet I never hesitate to say I graduated from Illinois when asked.

Maybe, and I could be wrong here, where these players went to college is not the end all, be all for them that people cling onto like some on here seem too. I'm sure that Billy Napier is upset that Anzalone didn't mention Florida as where he went to college.

And yet wasn't named a pro bowler. Lol. What an absolute joke.
True, but I don't think the Pro Bowl is a big deal for two reasons now.

1) It's a performance showcase instead of an actual game, and
2) Unless something out of the ordinary happens next weekend, he wouldn't be playing in the Pro Bowl anyway. I think most players who played in conference championship games, regardless of outcome, don't play in the Pro Bowl.

The All-Pro designation is much more important, in my opinion.

I don’t follow NFL that well

how can you be first team all pro & not be an all star ?

different voters ? is one vote by the media & one by the players ?

All-Pro is picked by national media members and is based on the player's position, not conference. Pro Bowl is 1/3 fan vote, 1/3 coach vote, 1/3 player vote.

I’ll concede that these players might not all have the same passion for their alma mater than people who hang out on fan message boards like this. But it’s not like these players are being asked to go on PR tours and offer testimonies praising their school and its merits. It’s a two-second video, say your name and your school. And yet tonight Quan Martin identifies himself as from Ft. Myers FL. I continue to “not get it.”

You think Luke Fickell cares that Biadasz didn't mention Wisconsin? You think SIU is somehow gonna get an enrollment bump because Jeremy Chinn mentions he went there?

Wonder what the most Illini in an NFL game is? Got 5 playing tonight.

Edit: make that 4. Forgot IW was with the Bengals now.
