Longer for Ohio State...Going to be a long season for Indiana.
Fran is very much checked out now. Those days likely over.I hope not.
Gotta see a couple more francon 10's before he goes...
;>)
One of the largest budgets out there. Just crazy they went that route. Obviously could still work out. But you called it. Lazy.Diebler was a lazy hire
Diebler was hired in the same process as the one for Antonio Pierce. Interim coach wins a few games and gets some player support.Diebler was a lazy hire
But isn’t Francon 10 boring and we’d want to see Francon 1?
DEFCON levels
- DEFCON 1: Nuclear war is imminent or has already begun
- DEFCON 2: The next step to nuclear war
- DEFCON 3: Heightened readiness, such as canceling leaves and ordering troops to return to their units
- DEFCON 4: Increased intelligence watch and strengthened security measures
- DEFCON 5: The least severe level of readiness
I think you have to move on but that's a tough job and NIL and the portal kind of killed that program. That works be my guess.
Oh I hope not....keep Fran and Woodson in the B10 until they both turn 80Fran has to be done after this year, right?
He’s 65. I’d have to think he’d retire rather than take a step down.Fran has never been a good defensive coach. He has had success by recruiting multiple kids that can shoot, and sometimes a guy that can score inside. Teaches some D and plays to win 85-80. I think he wanted to move on last year but found no takers so stuck around one more time. I think his only option to moving on is dropping down to A10/MVC/MAC level or something like that.
I’m not sure if I would ever retire if a school gets a GM position. The conditions are just going to improve and is going to allow coaches to stay away from the part that they normally hate. He’s 65. I’d have to think he’d retire rather than take a step down.
I'm not really worried about IU in terms of the conference race so I don't think that aspect matters. A win against OSU (in OT no less) probably doesn't remotely move the needle in terms of the Woodson status. When in doubt, just always root against IU.So for us that want IU to retain Woodson, we are happy they beat Ohio State right? Even tho technically OSU winning is better for us in the standings. But IU winning helps us in all of the metrics. Feels dirty to feel good about IU winning. Yuck.
I'm with you. It would have been better for us if Indiana would have lost since it's more than likely that they'll be one of the teams that will be vying for the conference tournament byes. As bad as they've been recently, the standings have them right there in the mix.So for us that want IU to retain Woodson, we are happy they beat Ohio State right? Kinda odd how most of the opponents in these games are top 50-ish NET, except for Duke's, which are 211 and 230.
I was very conflicted myself. However, I was happy to see Luke have such a good (or should I say Goode) game. Especially after all the hate coming his way. And I despise Dan Dakich. Now maybe he'll get off Luke's back.So for us that want IU to retain Woodson, we are happy they beat Ohio State right? Even tho technically OSU winning is better for us in the standings. As a rule, I always root against IU, but all this Luke Goode stuff has me pulling for them. Especially Dan Dakich that pos with his commentary. I didn't like Luke's overly aggressive plays Tuesday, but he'll always be an Illini to me. And at least he smoothed things over with the coaching staff after the scuffle.I'm not really worried about IU in terms of the conference race so I don't think that aspect matters.
