Now that the team has had time to cope with the news and had some tough practices (hopefully) to get our toughness back, we should come out looking much different. This is not a big game on paper, but big to see how our team reacts. Can we step up and bring intensity and toughness? Can we execute and keep our heads in the game? Would love a dominant win to get the season back on stable ground.

Just curious but if players are suffering from the flu and strep throat and are for sure not playing why are they on the bench?

Makes no sense to me
People have already discussed this many, many times. I get COVID rewired many peoples’ brains, but it’s incredibly likely that a doctor them they’re not currently contagious. And if that’s the case, why would they not be down there if they want to be with their teammates?

IIRC NW targeted Ben pretty mercilessly at their place, have to think that is the plan again. My one issue with Brad (far outweighed by positives generally) is an inability to adapt once a team finds something to exploit.

Really hoping, Tomi notwithstanding, we have something ready to counter that isolation ball where they hunt Ben on switches.
they targeted KJ too

Brad even said it yesterday during his press conference, Tomi is past the contagous stage.

IANAD(I am not a doctor), but discussing this with my doctor friend, once you are on antibiotics for at least 24hrs, strep is no longer contagious. So if Tomi had been on antibiotics for several days, then there is no risk for spreading. kids go back to school all the time after 24hrs for strep. NOW, the entire strep vs Mono is a different story. Mono can present itself with swollen glands and a sore throat. His guess was the doctor did a quick test on strep, and it came back negative, so they did a long test(up to two days) but hedged their bets and gave him the antibiotics anyway to get started. Then after a few days when it wasn't working or came back negative, Tomi came back in and did the Mono test. It's either the previous or the dude had extremely bad luck and had strep throat and mono back to back.

Brad mentioned in the MSU after-game interview that Tomi was on antitiotics. He also said yesterday that Tomi was feeling better. Let's hope that Tomi doesn't have the worse-case scenario as far as his recovery, we're a very different team without him.

That's kind of the issue with Tomi out and Morez at the 5. BU sees these guys in practice and Ben although he may be getting beat at times BU clearly thinks his physicality and size makes him our best alternative. Thats what's concerning. If BU thought others could do better he would have put them in.
