Fingers and toes crossed you are right99% chance there's a different starting lineup Sunday
This is possibly a season ender. I don't mean to be "that guy" either, but I've known more than a couple who've had mono(including myself) and it can floor you for months. If he's still at the stage where he's in bed for 16 hours.....he's nowhere close to being able to participate in a light practice much less a high octane game. There's only about 6 weeks between now and the BTT. There's a lot of games between now and then and based on what I've seen without him....there are more losses than wins in there.
I suppose this is coach-speak of one sort of another. Tomi is sleeping 16 hours a day and hasn't done anything since MSU? But he might be available vs OSU tomorrow? Hmm.Brad Underwood: Tomislav Ivisic's status is still the same. We'll list him as questionable. It's been crazy how this has affected him. We'll list him as questionable, and see whether he's a participant or not. #Illini

Ivisic is likely out tomorrow with mono.

Which is why I do not understand why he is attending games and traveling with the team. As someone who played a college sport and contracted mono, I can tell you I was on my back for weeks. It was all I could do to stay up on classes. I didn’t recover all season and had a horrible year. I’m concerned Tomi will not be 100% all season.
He's feeling way better. It won't be a season enderThis is possibly a season ender. This is incredibly unfortunate.
Welp, cottage cheese it is.
He didn't travel to Nebby so what traveling are you referring to?Which is why I do not understand why he is attending games and traveling with the team.
It wasn't personal at all, they both have been playful back and forthIf I was Piper and if Piper was there, I would of made sure I was the last question and simply stood and announced I don't even have a question to what I just listened to, but I do find it funny that you just had a 20 minute press conference and never once mentioned the coach and coaching staff needing to be better!! Turned and walked out...not even giving him a chance to respond. Seriously can't believe the day before a critical game the University of Illinois men's basketball coach begins with a slander of a media member. Maybe it's just me, but I find it ironic he mentions his players focus, yet starts out showing his focus is still being butt hurt over a simple question by a reporter.....seems legit smh
Great...so now I get to spend my Saturday knowing I was wrong, yet again.....marks in my mistake book number 243,642It wasn't personal at all, they both have been playful back and forth

I’m at the same - I’ve watched probably 95% of the total minutes live the past 5 years.I’m not trying to be dramatic; I’m merely venting because Illini basketball means so much to me, and this is heartbreaking to say…
… it’s difficult to care. I genuinely regret convincing my parents to drive 4 hours to meet my wife and me to see us play MSU in mid-February. Got my wife to spend Valentine’s Day watching the Illini *maybe* decide to give effort that day. Depressing.
Ohio State 74
Illinois 64
With mono, there are two issues. 1)As you noted, feeling better is obviously a big deal. If you feel like crap, regardless of illness, you can't play. However, there's 2)how is the spleen? When I had it, that was always the concern. There's feeling better, then there's being better. He's feeling way better. It won't be a season ender
Go back and look up all of Ben's three point attempts from last night.I think we are perfectly good at shooting... when we take good shots. When we just jack up contested threes and fadeaways all game, our percentage understandably drops abysmally.
"We" didn't necessarily mean "every individual on the team."Go back and look up all of Ben's three point attempts (which were all bricks) from last night.
Agree.“He may change the starting lineup”. He damn well better. Losing a starter due to illness, and it’s not working out with Ben H, make an adjustment. Change the look of the offense. Insert your most consistent and productive player for the last few weeks.
This level of stubbornness is irritating.
