Former Illini asst. coach Dan Roushar to be Bears OL coach.

1995 and 1996 Illini coach under Lou Tepper. 2003,2004 under Ron TurnerThat was a long time ago.
Paid his dues from Butler 1986 thru MSU 2012 - 28 years coaching college.
Finally made NFL in 2013. With Saints 2013-2022. Now Bears

he’s paid his dues - let’s hope he gets the Oline to kick some a$$. he’ll need a few new dudes

Jimmie Doughtery has been named OC at U. of Washington. He's from Edwardsville. but played at Mizzou. I know there was some talk about him when he was a high school senior, but I don't remember why he went to Mizzou. I can't remember if he wasn't a priority for Illinois or what the issue was, but I didn't think he was interested in Illinois.

Maybe we weren't interested in him? He wouldn't have seen the field for us. Played in 12 games for Mizzou, all during the Kittner era, and had a completion % of 50.2, 4 TDs, 7 INT.

Jimmie was the qb coach and eventually passing game coordinator at USD when I was there. He worked under harbaugh and Shaw there with the offense (and Tim drevno). Great guy, great football mind and a great coach. Players all liked and respected him. I think this will be his second stint at Washington. Good hire for Jedd the Fish at UW after a lackluster debut. I’d imagine they improve next year.

Unfortunately I have no idea what made him want to go to mizzou though.

Not exactly coaching news, but Ohio Governor Mike DeWine nominated Jim Tressel for the vacant Lt Gov position. Previous LG was appointed to fill the empty Senate seat vacated by Vance.

I had season tickets (PSL's) at the TWA Dome in 1999 for the Super Bowl champs. Soooo awesome!!!!

Despite being a Bears fan myself, my three boys' jerseys were M. Faulk, I. Bruce and C. Warner.
