Mac McClung is the favorite again to win slam dunk championship. When he played against us (Georgetown?) I remember the little guard would strip one of our guards, get down the court like a bat out of hell, and do an insane 360 reverse dunk. Unreal.

I know it's too late for any frosh NBA awards, but super glad to see TSJ rocking! Increases his value and will make it very hard to sit him in the future.

That's not really what he is though. He's 24% from 3 on the season. In his big 25 pt game he made just one 3-pointer. In his 17 pt game he was 0-1 from 3. I don't think 3-and-D is an accurate description of what he is at this point. He scores most of his points by getting to the rim.

Yup, today’s NBA is about the 3 point shot more than it’s ever been, and TJ is a below average shooter. That’s why he hasn’t gotten more tick.

Not Illini related, but Steph Curry went off again for 56 points including 12 made three-point shots, and I saw a wild stat about him. He is the all-time leader in games with at least 9 three-point shots made, having done it in 45 games. Number 2 is Damian Lillard...at just 14 games. Klay Thompson is the only other player with double digit 9+ 3pt games, at 12. Just wild.

Ayo to have surgery tomorrow and will be out 4-6 months after an MRI revealed he had a fracture in the back of his left shoulder that was at least a year old. He had previously acknowledged feeling discomfort in his shoulder for an extended period of time but had been able to play through it in the past. He is expected to be ready for the start of training camp next season.
