Question for locals...if we head to Papa Del's for a pregame meal on Friday, how crazy busy will it be? Like do we need to be there before 5:00? Any help would be much appreciated!

Papa Dels takes 2 hours or longer on a good day. Honestly I would never expect to even get food in an hour after sitting down it's so slow. Very risky going there if you are on any kind of time schedule.

Pro-tip: Order it ahead as a takeout. About half way (or more) through the wait period, show up and sit at the bar. Have a drink while you wait. Once pizza is ready, grab it from the counter and return to the bar. Ask for plates and silverware and enjoy!

We went for the Michigan state game that started at 7:00, and we got there at 4:30. We waited for almost an hour before sitting g down. Fortunately we got to order the pizza while we were waiting so it was ready about 30 minutes after we sat down.

if you want to see the senior night festivities at 6:30 you probably wont make it unless you order your pizza before you arrive. i love dels but its never fast
Calling ahead at Del's has always worked for me. I'd recommend that. I'm running out of things when I go back to C-U that remind me of my days on campus but Del's thankfully is still one.

As of the last year of so, they no longer allow you to eat at the bar on Friday or Saturday nights.

They allowed Tomi to play with strep and then mono. They let DGL and others play with influenza. Forgive me if I don't have the greatest level of faith in the staff's medical decision-making.
My son said his feet were bothering him his sophomore year in high school during basketball season. We couldn't see anything wrong, no swelling or bruising. Figured it was nothing serious but went on long enough we took him to doctor. As it turned out he had stress fractures in both feet. Doctor said they were already healing and that he couldn't do any more damage if he didn't mind the pain. He wanted to finish off season and then rest a couple of weeks before starting track. Felt bad about not getting him to doctor sooner.

I am aware that it happens. That doesn't mean it should happen. This year is a pretty good example of what can happen when you let a communicable disease have free reign over your locker room.
OMG, it happens to multiple college, high school teams every year. Until they come up with a way to see who is gonna get sick every year and see weeks into the future it's just gonna be part of life.😏

Once, when I was in my late 20's, I was so sick with the flu that I went to the ER. I had to stay with my parents for a week recovering. Since that time, I have never missed getting a flu shot again. I learned from that terrible experience and have never had to repeat it. I would hope that might be a consideration for some of the returning players next year and in the future since most of them felt really awful and it almost certainly cost us some games.
Hopefully. they will be available in the fall of 2025.

I hope our guys really come focused against the Boilers. I'm sick and tired of hearing about them. But they've already lost--what, 8 or 9 games? We can beat them. I sense a big night from KJ and expect Kylan to increase his team leadership. Got to get that 20th regular season win!

Listening to BU on STL 101.1 espn radio.
Rez not playing tomorrow.
Doubled down on difficulty of schedule.
Said they were in on KJ for 2 years.
Tomi practiced 3 times in 5 weeks.
Said IL BB #1 in B1G revenue last 3 years.
Singing praises of JW and the administrations support.
My perpecticd: Way too much here in STL… … disproportionate coverage.
Solid 12-13 minute interview. Good to have air time here in the Lou.
I L L….

I also believe that an overabundance of caution is advisable. That being said, the flu is contagious before symptoms appear, so no one "let" a communicable disease have free reign over our locker room.

I feel like we're the better team, but we haven't had success against Purdue the last 3 years, so we definitely need an A game. Brad should be fired up for this one to get this monkey off his back. I do think Kylan can make life tough on Smith, I think Kasparas will be on Cox, who's not much of a threat which should keep him out of foul trouble. Tomi will be on Furst, the question I have is who guards TKR and Loyer - my first instinct is Will on Loyer and Tre on TKR, but then Tre is giving up a lot of height, so that may have to get flipped - either way, I don't think we have someone that is a good defensive matchup on TKR - Morez would have been the right guy, this is where his absence will hurt us. Not that Ben can stop TKR any better than Will but that match up will be one to watch.

On the flip side, if TKR is guarding Will, he should be taking him to the bucket and getting him in foul trouble early and often. That's a bad matchup for Purdue as well
