Would be curious if you're open to sharing (or hinting) at who from the outside may have driven that change.

To the person who asked prior about "who" made the changes it has Brad written all over it.

Would be rather upset if Hamer is still on staff if there are coaches like Ben Johnson, Boyton etc available to add to that roster.

My biggest question mark is will TA be able to influence guys like Morez to take other options that may be on the table.

Returning a line up of Mo, Tre, Tomi and Kylan must be a top priority going into next year. Id imagine that recruiting is already taking place.
TA is not influencing Morez on anything. TA doesn’t even have a job at another school. Morez is not going anywhere. Morez is Chicago and Illinois through and through

I’m not worried at all about losing Brad because I don’t think he will leave . Will his agent take the call ? most certainly . UT is a good school in a large state where he could do well with well funded NIL , but I don’t think he’s going to be tempted to really consider it .

AND , if he does leave , we have good options .

Brad is our guy . Pretty sure he retires in CU with his name on something .
I’m not worried about Brad leaving because we have Josh Whitman. I trust Josh to find us the right replacement for Underwood if he decides to leave. Mike Thomas was the cause of Illinois fall off he was a terrible Athletic Director that Brought Illinois Tim Beckman and Groce. Your Athletic Director makes or breaks your athletic programs

Although I’m not an Underwood fan I don’t see him leaving Illinois for Texas . Texas is not a basketball school . Football is king in the state of Texas. Texas basketball is Kevin Durant the end.
I want to be sure I understand the nuances of your positions. You've said several times that Brad will never win a natty for Illinois, and so he must go. Now, you say Texas is not good enough for him. Is there an in-between destination that you have in mind for him?

Pretty simple … The guy is a freaking winner and can get players wherever he’s at …
I just looked up Will Wade’s resume and I’m not impressed at all. At ALL . Will Wade hasn’t won anything significant his entire head coaching career. Plus he was cheating that’s why he was getting players in the Pre NIL era. What can he do in the NIL era now that everyone can pay players? If Underwood leaves I’m not interested in Will Wade. I like Sean Miller . Sean Miller has 4 elite 8s and 4 Sweet 16s at two different schools on his resume. He’s only 56 years old and he’s knows the Midwest. He also recruited and coached high caliber players that are currently in the NBA.

He did commit as a sophomore and stayed loyal. Unless Scheyer gets rid of Dildy don't see TA joining Duke.

Yeah what's to be impressed with a .703 record. Mcneese St was such a big winner before he got there. I mean could say the same exact thing about Underwood. Also funny part is you say Wade cheating Pre NIL then say Sean Miller who FYI cheated Pre NIL. Wade is 42 never had a losing season anywhere he coached.

Dude, Miller had 50 wins vacated, including one of those Sweet Sixteens, because of illegal payments to recruits.

This … How many other coaches can say this ???

Definition of never rebuilding … Only reloading …

He’s getting former top 100 kids to go to McNeese State for a can of Pepsi, some peanuts and half a cookie …

Cool I’ll pass . Louisville had a chance to hire Will Wade they passed on him for Pat Kelsey. Kentucky could have hired Will Wade they chose Mark Pope. Michigan chose Dusty May
