Doubtful. They still most likely get a 4 seed with their non conference schedule. We are getting a 6/7. Even if they climb to a 3, they have many other 3 seeds to match us up with. Ie. Texas Tech, Kentucky, Iowa State, Texas A&M.
Not gonna happen. The committee avoids this unless there are 9-10+ teams from the Big 10 in the tournament.
Depends what he means by side. If same half, it's definitely possible because we'll be a low enough seed. If he means quadrant I'd be a little surprised, but not shocked.
Yes same region or same side of the bracket is possible but I think he meant a possible Sweet 16 matchup which won't happen.
Last year Nebraska and Wisconsin could have met in the Sweet 16, so it's not an impossible set-up.
I didn't say they couldn't do it but it's not going to happen because Maryland won't be a 2 seed since we will be a 6 or 7.

7: IL (6-3 high, 7-2 low, I think 7-1 due to the blowout losses), UCLA, OR (possibly even 8-1)

Emotional individuals who see a couple really bad "recent" losses on our resume but can't conceptualize the resume to peers...or they have zero clue how the committee actually seeds teams.
But the good news is that there is an electronic trail of these individuals. They also would have put the Illini on bubble if they lost either Michigan or Purdue game.

If you played a team three times in a season, I believe you cannot meet until the EE, as they changed the rule after the expansion of the ACC, SEC and B1G.
