Can take a player out of Illinois Basketball, but can't take Illinois Basketball out of a playerDain has 4 TOs though. What a touching tribute to the current Illini team![]()
He's excellent at exploiting his matchups when he has the size advantage and really love his energy out thereDain is dominating.....
He is receiving a lot of love from the announcers! I am rooting for himAll that work with Fletch really starting to show for Dainja... with Memphis!
I'm proud of him and cheering him on.
Robbie Hummel clearly knows Dainja from his time at Illinois, so no surprise at all that Hummel is giving Dain his props. He is receiving a lot of love from the announcers! I am rooting for him
My enduring memory of Dain is that steal against Iowa State in the high post and his behind-the-back dribble directly into a turnover as he crossed midcourt. Probably the most completely exuberant play I've seen from any player in years. It exuded unbridled hoops joy. Immediately after that occurred I looked over at one of the other monitors in the bar where I was, which was showing the final seconds of UNC v. Alabama, ending in a Bama win.Yeah, never could understand his reluctance.
That's why I always referred to him as the "mid major killa" hahaHe's excellent at exploiting his matchups when he has the size advantage and really love his energy out there
Great but you don't get Tomi without Dain leaving. Not like you could have also played Dain/Morez togetherDain > Booth.
Dain was unwilling to take and miss 3pt shots at a historic pace so clearly not a good fit...sorry, I promised I was going to turn the page on the regular season. I miss Dain, and I hope he continues to do really well.Plenty of us liked him. He was one of those players that Brad didnt like to play for whatever reason.
Yep, evident as to last season why Coleman was still playing the 5. Couldn't have Dain and Coleman on the floor together. Less to do with Brad "didn't" want to play Dain.Great but you don't get Tomi without Dain leaving. Not like you could have also played Dain/Morez together
Why couldn't we? Coleman is a perfect 4 in Brad's offense.Yep, evident as to last season why Coleman was still playing the 5. Couldn't have Dain and Coleman on the floor together. Less to do with Brad "didn't" want to play Dain.
That was never the question.Dain > Booth.
