This is a huge start and great foundation to build from.Staff has essentially secured deals to bring back Tomi, Morez, and Kylan. Working on Tre.
Good. Tie up Purdue's money in basketball and keep their football program in the dumpster.Look at Purdue...
...and they bring EVERYONE back next year... scary
I'd be very surprised if he wasn't, both because of the impact he's making in the Barcelona senior team in the adult pro Spanish league (a level much higher than college basketball) along with presuming he'd only make this move if that kind of major role and opportunity were part of it.I haven’t been following the Sarr recruitment. Is he a day 1 starter like KJ and Tomi?
In addition to just being good ball players, this is a key reason why bringing back Kylan and Tomi is so important. Both were pretty clearly a big part of our team culture. Having that solid foundation is so important. Just like the transition from the 2023 season to 2024 (albeit, we don't have a TSJ-type guy). You look at some of the challenging seasons at NIL powerhouses this year, and I think we ought to be a little careful about adding too much in the portal.
Enough so that you're deep and robust against injury risk, but not so much that who the leaders and culture drivers are becomes a question mark.
I mean of course you want a player that comes over and is conference player of the year and a first team all-American lol. Dix is the guy I want. Smart, Crafty, can shoot it, take you off the dribble. He’s the kinda player we really need.We need a Dalton Kneckt. For the 25-26 team.
KJ and Tomi are really good Euro sells.Interested to know what the sell to Sarr is. Hopefully he is not being told he can play the point as he is not a PG. He's more of a Brandon Paul type (but longer), I don't think he's even a secondary ball handler at this point.
You keep Tre/Ivisic/Mo/KB and add Z, Sarr, another PG to compete with KB and a knock down shooter and the roster is cooking with gas.
If he can commit a few less "jump off the couch and scream at the TV " turnovers than KG, I'm in.......I'd be very surprised if he wasn't, both because of the impact he's making in the Barcelona senior team in the adult pro Spanish league (a level much higher than college basketball) along with presuming he'd only make this move if that kind of major role and opportunity were part of it.
By all accounts a raw and somewhat inconsistent player, but a serious, serious talent.

Not everyone wants Dix. But, if you can insert Dix into the perfect spot, everyone will benefit. I wouldn't get tired of watching that.I mean of course you want a player that comes over and is conference player of the year and a first team all-American lol. Dix is the guy I want. This is a sentiment shared by virtually every program in America. We need a Dalton Kneckt. For the 25-26 team.
My only apprehension about Dix is that he really only helps you score. When it comes to defense, he is a weak spot.I mean of course you want a player that comes over and is conference player of the year and a first team all-American lol. Dix is the guy I want. And hear I though we needed someone who could shoot threes and actually make them reliably.Sarr is what the team really missed this year. High level defensive player, super athletic, and lethal in transition. Would be a great fit.
He is built more like Karl Malone and with a little more time to work on his skill that would be awesome. I think he is a old school power 4 crashing the boards like the former Bull/Knick Charles Oakley tgat can play the 5 and Tomi is a modern stretch 5.Morez is exclusively a center. Period.

He was teammates with KJ last year on the Barcelona U-18 team and is now playing with the senior team, so the coaching staff saw him last year and KJ would have given him the scoop. Given KJ came here and shot his draft prospects into the lottery- that would be the sell. He doesn’t think he’s a PG, he’s a wing/slasher who is very althletic, can get to the rim and rebound. Would be an ideal fit with what we have coming back this yearInterested to know what the sell to Sarr is. Hopefully he is not being told he can play the point as he is not a PG.
